Might be a bit outdated, but we have the World Cup thing here, I searched the forum and found nothing on Eurivision.
So anyway, who did you support? How do you think your country did? Did you like the winner? Why do you think they won?
As for me, answering the same questions, I liked almost everyone (except for Ukraine, Moldova, Spain and France - sorry if someone comes from these countries :sunglasses:). Russia did pretty well, surprisingly (other than the guy's HORRID accent in English - I'd honestly rather he sang in Russian) and actually got the 2nd place. I liked the winner, but didn't expect them to win.
Europe might be sick of pop music? A rebellion?

I suspect it may be a rebellion and a generational change. I didn't think Lordi's main singer had much of a voice, but it was the only heavy rock band in the competition. Next year I suspect there will be many.
I liked the Russian entry and I thought the overall standard was better than previous years. There were hardly any "Bing Bang Bong" songs. It's a pity nearly everyone sang in English, though.

being from australia we dont have it straight away :frowning: but i love watching it
I found Lordi awsome apart from the chorus line ''all we need is lightning with power and might'' lets say being too origional but they deserved to win.
Russia = rad
The singlet umm ok didnt go to much trouble in the fashion part but hey his voice and song rockedLithuania = hilarious
I loved lithuania, the lyrics were obviously a parody but also how they did their song, not one part in it did it get silent or plain or even boring, it was unexpected especially the bald man dancing :laughing: -
Lithuania looks and sounds like an over 40s football team singing karaoke after a match!

and thats bad? haha lol yeah i know but still it was really unexpected and i had no idea what they were going to do next also interesting

Were you hoping for a Full Monty?

I supported Lordi from the beginning . Their song wasn't that good, but their performance was entertaining and really necessary for the whole event. My country did exactly as I expected and I wasn't disappointed. Lordi simply won because the audience has grown sick of listening the same stupid pop songs all these years. I was bored of those retrosexual, sensitive acting, guys (like the russian singer) with their boring performance (the piano, the ballet dancers and the roses were way too extreme).

Yeah, I loved Lithuania, too. The suits, and the dances, and that look on their faces. Too bad the public booed them. *walks off singing *I didn't think Russia's performance was THE best, but comparing to the previous years... trust me, it was good.

I didnt watch the Eurovision because i thought it would be the same old crap but I definatly would have watched it had I knowen somone like Lordi was on it. I totaly feel like I missed out. Lordi are totaly awsome, after I heared they won are were some crazy monstor metal band from sweeden I was like, hell I may as well listen to the song, so I did and liked it and downloaded a bunch of their CD's. Very nice stuff indeed some very amusing lyrics in a few of the songs also.
