Are you sure the Rich's was there? There was also one on Amherst St. in Nashua (nausea), just off the D.W. Highway.Ask your parents if they remember Mammoth Mills. They had the strangest, cheapest, most useful junk around. It was the only place I was able to find one of those little rubber things with the little suction cups on both sides to keep the soap from falling into the bathtub.
-
New here so....
-
I'm talking about Rich's on Hanover street, next to Hannaford's (aka. shop 'n' save/ Alexanders). Now we're left with Cheapo Depot, Zyla's, and of course Building 19 if we want cheap useless items.
-
Rich's...either I'm having a mental block, or it was before my time...but I remeber the one in Nanshua. My friend and his Texas wife got married in Nashua, at the Unitarian Church.Le-ah-min-STUH... Hey, I've heard some pretty good "Boston" (New England, actually) accents in NH.
-
I've thrown up in Turks and Caicos, just south of the Bahamas.
-
yeah i've come across a few good "Boston" accents up here. Not so much in the Manchester area. I blame it on the commuters though. And as far as things that have changed around here: Derryfield park. Those bastards. And "condo-ville" has expanded drastically up the right side of Mammoth Rd. Alot has changed around here in the last 7-10 years. It's sad.
-
Wow...20 years ago there were hardly any condos in the area.My cat went to a vet on 28 in Hook SIT.
-
I think thats where my cat goes too. Not sure though.
-
It was the Northside Animal Hospital, I think. The vet at the time was frickin' great. He retired a long time ago, and I haven't dealt with any regular vets since who are as good (except maybe the vets on the staff of the animal hospital in North Andover, MA). That vet explained to me that my "male" cat was actually a female. Then he explained how you tell the difference.
-
It's all about punctuation marks. If it looks like and inverted exclamation point down there, it's a female kitten. If it looks like a colon, it's a male. Or is it the other way around?
-
> It was the Northside Animal Hospital, I think.
No, that's not right. I'm almost certain it was Queen City Animal Hospital, which is right on rt. 28.
-
Oh my pets go to northside. They're pretty good, Atleast Doctor Robertson is anyway. The other one hates big dogs so he tells us all the time that my dog has aggression problems blah blah. Drives me nuts. Ironically they never could decide what gender my rabbit was. We changed the poor things name like five times over the course of 13 years. From what i've heard Queen city isn't that great.
-
It's kind of sad...the vet who retired in the late 80's from Queen City was fantastic. I could see that the guy who replace him wasn't as good (he had trouble giving the shots; the original guy had it done in the blink of an eye...it was over before the cat knew what happened). You need gender neutral names, like Pat. My confused gender cat was named Jackson (given when I thought she was a he).
-
The vet didn't know how to give a shot? That is sad. I had to give my cat an insulin shot every single day when I was 11.After a while before the rabbit croaked we decided on wilber or wilbette. We figured what the hell its a rodent, it won't know the difference anyway.
-
Actually, the vet was trying to draw blood from between the toes of a front paw for a feline leukemia test, if I remember correctly. He couldn't find the vein. The other vet did it to the other cat in no time. You can kind of tell when a vet has good intuition and knowledge...the way they handle the animal.> After a while before the rabbit croaked we decided on wilber or wilbette. We figured what the hell its a rodent, it won't know the difference anyway.Yeah, but the other rabbits would know.
-
oohh yeah I can't do that...
I hope the other rabbits knew. Otherwise poor wilber/ette had some interesting situations.
-
I think Wilbur/ette posted here about his sexual identity issues.
-
That was shim?!!

The Leutenant Gov (kinda the VP) has more power than the gov.FYI...Texas is the only state that can legally fly its flag at the same height as the US flag...the only state that can fly its flag independently with no US flag to the right...the only capitol building thats bigger than the US...and the only state that can be divide into 5 states if we decided to do so.
-
They can...the US says so...And we're not talking secession...just turning the state of Texas into 2-5 separate states still belong to the US...it has to be approved by congress though. When Texas joined the states in 1825 (??) it was an indpendant country unlike the Louisiana Purchase (from France) and the purchase of Cali and NM (from Mexico). Texas was the REPUBLIC OF TEXAS and wanted to make sure they would not lose certain rights that they exercised as an free nation when they became a state. SO, the US and Texas copromised to make Texas allowed to retain flag rights and capitol rights that only belong to the sovereign nation such as those listed above.
