Well my dance group and I are always performing at certain places like churches, schools, concerts, games, shows etc. And it's usually for average normal people like friends, family, strangers, other performers, students, you get the picture. Anyway it's really fun. Just a way for us to express ourselves and have fun while entertaining people. And I don't like tooting my own horn but toot toot lol no I'm only kidding. I would figure we're really good because we're always recommended and asked to perform at certain occasions whether it's hip hop, spiritual, salsa, whatever. And since it's the summer we're available like all the time. But after a while you get tired of the regular stuff. Yeah ok so running around trying to catch the train with your friends to the next gig is pretty fun and not to sound rude but everything gets mediocre after a while. Yes I will always love it but you long for something more... spectacular and out there you know? Our last performance was at a competition which we won 2nd place to Hot Flashes. So anyway I spoke to my sister about it since she's my pain easer. And honest to God I seriously and HIGHLY doubted she would do anything about it. Yet she did. And now I'm wishing she didn't. But there's like this award thingy majig or dedication thing for filmmakers. Most of them are my sister's friends. Then again who is she not friends with? She met Harrison Ford for crying out loud. Whoever he is… sounds cool. Anyway, they're like the really important people. The ones with all the power in one tiny cuticle of their finger. And when I told my friends they were all excited but I honestly don't think they know what they're getting themselves into lol. I didn't think it was that bad until we saw where the place was. THAT PLACE IS HUGE! It's like... the size of yankee stadium multiplied by a billion. Ok it's not that big but it's still huge. And the stage is so big we're like little ants. We're playing with the big boys now! Guys in suits! What the heck was my sister thinking? She's a wacko crackhead drinking that stuff. 15-17 year olds you've got to be kidding. We’re like little urban kids who still think jumping train tracks off ramps with bikes is cool. Yes I'm freaking out if you haven't guessed by now. But what if we mess up or something. Or fall on someone in the audience. Yeah I'm gonna die. What do we do? I’m stressed. And oddly I’m wishing Julian McMahon would be there lol. I’m just thinking maybe we’re not good enough… I think I’m ashamed of my friends… lifestyle…heritage, myself. That’s so bad I know but still…

Ashamed? Stressed.

Abi hon you are just panicking, calm down. You and your girls can do this, no problem, as long as you ease off the panic button LOL You will practise, get the dances down perfect, go on stage, and forget about the audience, who cares if these are men in suits, and who care if you miss a step, THEY won't notice, do your best, what else can you do?

Abi trust me it's not as bad as you think it's going to be. My second competition ever was at the fleet center in front of 10,000 people. And I used to be an extremely shy person. If I of all people could do it, so can you. Just practice hard and go out there and do your thing. Take the opportunity, there's always a chance you may never get it again.

I pity the foo' who calls you kitten.

Thanks guys. I'll try and calm down but my good-for-nothing two bit friends aren't helping. I'll let you know if something comes up. We're mostly worried on what form of dance and music to use.
