I am not saying that I am for any missle launches but didn't the U.S. test thier nukes on an island inhabited with innocent people just to see the effects it would have on civilians? I am not saying that it's O.K. to launch missles over any country, but if the U.S. got attacked there will be another war. Again I say it's O.K. for the U.S. to kill innocent people through stuoid testing but not North Korea? Of course North Korea wants the rights to bear nucklear arm too, so should every country who wants to defend against the U.S. Iraq had no weopons of mass destruction, so the oil was stollen instead. The U.S. is in for more than the stanard war against N. Korea. The United States should never be the only country allowed to steel resources from other countries to benefit thier own. I would feel badfor Japan just as they could test over Canada too. And yet the U.S. is worried about terrorism. I think they got more than they bargained for.Now they are scrammbling to get the missle defence system going. The world needs no niked altogether.

North Korea Missle Launch
-
If north korea nuked someone then you can take an eraser to your map because its gonna be gone.
-
Nobody needs weapons of mass destruction, it is just dumb penis power, if you ask me. Oh oh oh, look at me, mine is bigger than yours and I can take you out with it...
-
does that mean that Bush is gonna attack my penis?sounds awful
-
The U.S. has the biggest arsenal. It can do whatever it wants. As the only country to ever use a WMD, it has demonstrated that.
-
The problem is that since we have them we need them. It would be awesome if we could all get rid of them, but unfortunately humans don't always keep global interests as their main priority over their own interests. Deterrence is the best way to prevent nuclear attacks. Having nuclear weapons is necessary in order to prevent their use, ironic isn't it? The scary part though is that most likely another nuclear weapon will be used at some point and if it results in retaliation... well, it could really screw things up for everyone on this planet. If only everyone had your view of international politics, then we wouldn't have war and countries invading other countries over ideological disputes, territory, and resources and dangerous biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons wouldn't need to exist.

LMAO... funny stuff... not what I ment, but still funny...
-
You'd make us a great Prime Minister
-
I understand what you are saying and totally agree with you. It is stupid to have them, but if someone else has it, then of course others will have to have them. But if the countries start shooting them off at each other, then bye bye Earth and life as we know it.
-
Dont we have the United Nations to stop those kinda things? I think thats what its for! to prevent war.
-
The U.S. missle defense system is suppoosed to be 50% accurate. And they dont know if it will even work. The U.S. is lined up at the shores ready to shoot down a missle that may only be used for testing. This will cause an instant war against the U.S.. Does anyone remember when the U.S. tested thier nuke on an island just to see the results and after effects? The people were very sick with skin falling off and shit. Never mind the ones they tested in the desert and in the ocean. Can you say retarded? There is nuclear waste everywhere contaminating the earth. At least North Korea doesnt have a beef with us Canadians. We can watch the fireworks on TV.
-
> This will cause an instant war against the U.S..
If the U.S. tries to shoot it down and misses (I beleive their success rate is far less than 50%), how will that cause a war? Whether the U.S. tries to defend or not, the response will be a massive attack.

Personally i dont know what is scarier, North Korea having Nukes or the US having 'em, neither country can be trusted with such powerful weapons.Like the Iran thing, the western world thinks we are better than the middle east where we wont allow them to develop a nuclear program, even Iran has a right to nuclear power i feel the western world thinks it knows best when if they stopped interfering with the rest of the world the'd be no need for such tensions.Good luck North Korea, just be careful where you point those things!
-
I have or rather had a friend from North Korea or was at least born there whom I was friends with for quite a while. She was a girl should be 17 by now but I haven't heard from her in over 3 years. Hope she's ok.
-
Well it was invented by Canada! The peace keeping part atleast, exepct they failed horribly! They went down to some country beat and toured a 16 year old boy cause he tried to steal food, they video taped it and sent it back here, yup its how peace-keeping goes in Canada. The guys probaly paid a fine and dischardged for a while.

As we've found, taking unilateral action does not work very well either (there's not much left of the "coalition of the willing"). It results in the world hating the U.S. (or at least its government) more than ever.
I'm not sure what the gain was in invading Iraq, since they had no WMDs. Why would we just believe that North Korea has them? Because Bush's press secretary says so?
If we're convinced that Iran and North Korea have nuclear weapons, whether or not they do, they are in the driver's seat. If Saddam were a better con artist, and made a convincing case that he had nukes, he'd still be running Iraq.
-
Well it was invented by Canada!I won't even go into the rest of your post, but this is clearly not true. Is there anyway to get you to do some research and reading before you shoot off your keyboard, or are you just trolling for flames?
-
Honestly, is my reply button broken, i dont get this.It was Lester Pearon i think who invented it. I know it was made by a canadian who now has the Nobel Peace Price.
-
Its what we learnt in History when we were studying 1900-2000.
I think anyone who is from Canada here can you tell that.

Pearson created the origins of the UN peacekeeping forces, not the UN itself. He was representative to Canada when it was drawn up in San Francisco though. In reply to:In October 1956, Israeli troops backed by Britain and France attacked the key Suez Canal area, which Egypt had earlier seized. Faced with a situation that threatened to disrupt the alliance of Western powers — or even lead to world war — Pearson proposed a United Nations Emergency Force to stabilize the danger zone and offered Canadian troops to serve in such a collective force. Working through its secretary-general, Dag Hammarskjold, he succeeded in getting the UN to adopt his bold proposal. The UNEF thus quickly came into being under the command of Canadian General Eedson L.M. Burns; a Canadian contingent was a permanent inclusion. Despite difficulties, this UN Force succeeded in restoring order. Pearson, for his efforts, received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1957. Above all, a major instrument had been added to the UN’s global operations, one for which Canada, today, deserves a large portion of the credit. http://collections.ic.gc.ca/heirloom_series/volume4/228-229.htm
