but how do you know if the condom breaks ---> it's torn?Having sex before your period is safer than having sex the week after your period.

What the hell ?
Seriously Im confused now.
when she has her period the egg drops form its incubation place on the uterous wall and the period is that egg and and the shed lining, right ?
so having sex after the period SHOULD be better in my mind as there isnt a new place for the egg to develope, it just got cleaned out and takes a bit o time to get set up and ready to host again.
Or atleast thats how I understood it to be.
Then again being a man, I never really looked into it before since it didnt affect me.
Im betting though that theres a hell of a lot of men that are thinking the same that I do on the subject.
So care to explain why its safer (not getting pregnant wise) to have sex before her period rather then after ? -
Not quite right. Technically, right before the period, the egg is already dead. After the period, she has not ovulated yet. But given that sperm can last a week and depending on when she ovulates, the timing can be tricky.

It sounds like the uterus is pretty much like a function room at a Holiday Inn.

Understanding Your Menstrual CycleUnderstanding your menstrual cycle is essential for your good health. It is especially important if you want to chart your fertility pattern as a method of contraception. The monthly pattern that occurs regularly in most women, from puberty to menopause, is called the menstrual cycle. Every cycle is divided into two parts — before ovulation and after ovulation. In a 28-day cycle, for example, the pattern usually follows this timing:The beginning of the cycle, called Day 1, is the day bleeding begins. The flow usually lasts about three-to-five days. Usually by Day 7, certain hormones cause some of the eggs in the ovaries to start ripening. Between Days 7 and 11, the lining of the uterus begins to thicken. The influence of additional hormones after Day 11 causes the egg that is most ripe to be released on about Day 14 in women who have a 28-day cycle. The other ripening eggs stop growing and dry up. That's part one.In part two, the egg travels down the fallopian tube toward the uterus. If a single male sperm unites with the egg while it is in the tube, the fertilized egg may travel on and attach to the spongy lining of the uterus. Pregnancy begins if this "implantation" occurs. If fertilization doesn't take place, the egg cell will break apart in a day or two. About Day 25, hormone levels drop. This causes the lining of the uterus to break down, and in a few days it is shed in a menstrual period. Another cycle has begun.view chartSequence of major changes in a menstrual cycle that is 28 days long. For some women, cycles recur fairly regularly — every 28 days. But the number of days in each cycle can vary from woman to woman, from every 21 to every 35 days. In fact, a few women have only three or four cycles a year. The first part of the cycle, from the first day of menstruation to ovulation, may vary from 13 to 20 days in length. The length of the first part is not only different from one woman to another, but also differs in some women from month to month. It is during this critical first part of the cycle that fertilization can occur. Such common circumstances as sickness, worry, physical exertion, and even sudden changes in climate may occasionally upset a regular pattern by shortening it or extending it.The second part of the cycle, from ovulation to the first day of menstruation, is about the same length in all women. The egg is released consistently 14-to-16 days before the onset of menstruation, regardless of the length of a woman's menstrual cycle. There are a few women who believe they can tell when the egg has been released from the ovary. Some report having a slight pain in the back, or on the right or left side of the lower abdomen. This pain is sometimes called mittleschmerz — German for "middle pain." A few may also have some increased vaginal discharge — a little blood-tinged or clear discharge from the vagina. But it is generally accepted that none of these is a sure signal that an egg has been released — the same symptoms can be caused by other factors.http://www.plannedparenthood.org/pp2/portal/files/portal/medicalinfo/birthcontrol/pub-fertility-chart.xml#1102956590756::4238534815248930216

SEE ?!I knew you must have some relevant information that was with held from me.I figured shedding some light on chic stuff may prevent atleast a few unwanted unplanned pregnacys. It figures i was talking out my ass and didnt really know what the hell I was saying. Its good to be a man.

"Then again being a man, I never really looked into it before since it didnt affect me."He said, an unplanned kiddo later....LoLHow's it goin' Chance.
-
well the actual period never affected me, but that unplanned kid did.Its not going to bad, jsut kicking around the house waitingf for phone call to be returned so I can start a new project and make some more cash. I was thinking about you the other day, wondered if ya got shot in oklahoma on the freeway.I figured so many people there own guns and drive around and shoot shit (based on the road signs I saw when I drove across the state) that the only reason to put something like that on the news was because somehow it tied to me. You being the only person I know whos in Oklahoma, I figured maybe it was you that got shot the other night. The only other person I know there is nearly 55 and is in Mcalester for the rest of this week for training beffore he heads back home to tooele utah. apparently, it wasnt you :P I dont even know what part of the state it was in. and later on I learned the guy that got killed was 19. ya best watch your ass driving around OK with drunks and guns.

Happily, it wasn't I. Hell, I didn't even know that anybody got shot. I've been deep in the rez camped out with a bunch of wild, savage, NDNs for pretty much the last three weeks. News of dead white man doesn't make it to far into camp. And, yes, yes, I am armed. If your going to drive thru certain parts of this state with an NDN tag you better be. But being a poor NDN ammo is to damn expensive to waste on road signs, that can't be eaten....I'll leave that sport to the local red necks. Sorry for the hijack, back to topic.....
