Okay, this may sound like a dumb topic, and I hope this is the right forum for this, but basically, I have what seems to be bumps on my butt. I think it's from my bike, because the seat is very uncomfortable, so how I got it isn't the problem. Also, I think the heat and sweating has only made things worse.I'm going to Cedar Point in a few days, and now I can barely sit down without feeling pain. Is there any tips to calm the rash, or whatever you want to call it, down? I figure it'll go away eventually, but the sooner the better.Any help would be appreciated.

Are you talking about large deep pimples. Something like a boil?
-
Yeah, I think so.
-
Yeah. I think most people have gotten a few in their life. They hurt like a bitch don't they. I don't really know what you can do except try to pop it although that can make it worse too.
-
I think they are somewhat too hard for that. I guess, I'll just have to ride it out, and hope it doesn't last long.

They might be boils - if so, you can hurry them along their life cycle by applying heat, if you want to get them to a squeezable state.Or they could be sebaceous cysts, which don't really come to a head. They'll go away, but it will probably take a few weeks.
-
What generally causes these things?
-
Boils are infections. I'm not sure how you get them.
Sebaceous cysts tend to be caused by rubbing, especially where clothing rubs. A pore gets blocked, and the sebaceous gland behind it swells up because there's no outlet for the sebum.

It sounds like the latter, which isn't really a good thing. All things considering, Thursday will be a pretty active day.
