Please listen - I just had to respond when you said "and besides, if I do smoke I wont smoke every single day". A statement like that clearly shows that you are ignorant as to the progressive nature of addiction. Dont get me wrong now, I'm not putting you down or picking on you, we're all ignorant on some topics. Unfortunately for me, addiction isnt one of them. Nicotine, the addictive substance contained within cigarettes, is a physically addictive drug, in the same vein as heroin, in that it operates, in its addictive function, in EXACTLY the same manner. If you begin to smoke, believe me, YOU WONT BE ABLE TO DECIDE WHEN YOU SMOKE, because the nicotine will be in the driving seat, your addiction will make the rules - not you. I'm telling you this as an addict in recovery. By all means, if you want to become a slave to a drug that will strip you of everything in life worth having, health, wealth, etc.. start smoking, go for it. But why would you want to? Dont you realise that the only people who will benefit in your ruining your health, throwing away your cash and risking your life will be the shareholders in the tabacco companies? If you decide to smoke it'll be the worst mistake you ever make, unless of course you decide to progess to narcotics. As far as "I wont smoke every single day" is concerned, nobody decides to smoke every single day - NOBODY. The drug decides that for them. Do you think all the heavy smokers you see actually WANT to shove 20+ cigarettes in their mouth every day? Nobody makes that choice, believe me, the addiction does that for them. And the first time you put a cigarette in your mouth, the only people you'll be benefitting will be those fuckers in the tabacco companies I mentioned, who'll be more than happy to profit from your death - just like they did the countless millions who went before you.

dear person who gave the "steps"--well explained...my dad had a heart attack because he smoked cigarettes for 30 years so i dont smoke tobacco but i do smoke pot sometimes. its usually something like krippie and i dont do it til im in a couch-lock but u live only once so if ur life sucks and u need sumthin to entertain u then y not?

smoking anything is bad and should be avoided at all cost it can lead to minor and major health problems of all sorts!!!but now with that said...1. fill you mouth with smoke...2. open and inhale at the same time.

I don't mean this in a hostile way, I'm just giving my own personal observation. I find it interesting that there is such a stigma attached to smoking when there are a multitude of equally destructive things that people do on a daily basis.1) Speeding- A smoker could convince himself, "What the hell, I'll smoke now, probably won't have to worry about cancer for a couple decades." With speeding and driving recklessly, there are no such delayed consequences. Several people from my school have already died from motorcycle and automobile accidents, which they caused, due to speeding and driving carelessly.2) Obesity and being overweight- people who eat a shitload and then just sit on their fat asses instead of exercise. Again, this leads to obesity and heart disease. Obesity is preventable, but we all know how moving can be such a chore.3) Drinking heavily- cirrhosis anyone? 4) Sunbathing, etc.- skin cancer How about equal opportunity antagonism against all destructive behaviors? The way we're force fed anti smoking propaganda, all these ppl have suddenly become experts on the dangers of smoking. Like this fat kid once antagonized one of my friends for smoking (Camel Turkish Silvers). The fatass told him to stop smoking. My friend told him to stop eating. Honestly, how can someone be a legitimate, outspoken anti-smoker while engaging in destructive behaviors themselves?Campaigns to end smoking? How about reinstating Prohibition? Don't get me wrong, I want America's youth to be educated on the dangers of smoking. But I don't think they should be force-fed that smoking is evil. That's why there's such a stigma attached to smokers. Like growing upin a religious family; teach your kids about your religion, but don't force Catholicism down their throats. If they don't embrace God, so be it. Let them make their own decision. Whatever, I was trying to make several points, I rambled. I know alot of ppl probably disagree with me, but dont try to convince me otherwise
-
-- Mind if I smoke?-- No. Mind if I fart?> How about equal opportunity antagonism against all destructive behaviors?Sounds good to me. Frankly, I don't care what people do, as long as they understand the dangers, and they do what they're doing with their eyes open. If people drive crazy or drunk, or if they smoke around me, then they are affecting my health and safety with their behavior.I think drug laws should be repealed, so I certainly don't think that smoking should be outlawed. But I have the right not to have it done near me, just as I have the right not to by physically assaulted by you.[Edit: When I read your post I assume you were referring to ordinary tobacco cigarettes, but the same things more or less hold true for marijuana.]

Why on God's green Earth did you reply to me? The threads are themselves threaded, so if you don't reply to the right person, you mess up the threading for people who view the threads in threaded view. OK, forget about the last sentence. Just click the "Threaded" button at the bottom or top of the page to see what I mean.

Well, If you just simply let the smoke into your mouth and then just breath it out it wont relax you are anything.Trust me, I've smoked too many glass pipes to not know what im talkin about.Just get the smoke into your mouth and slowly breathe it in until most of it is in your system and then breath the remaining smoke out.

Here is something really simple so you dont end up wasting cigarettes. If you arent going to actually inhale, people, mail tehm to me. The convienance store people wont sell me them...:(Step 1- Put the butt in your mouthStep2- Put the lighter/match to the unfiltered end. ste 3- While the flame is at the end up the ciggarette, inhale. Do not actually inhale. The first hit should be exhaled.Step4- Take another drag. step 5- With the smoke, open your mouth just a little bit, but dont exhale. Inhale again, so them smoke in your mouth will go down your throat. step 6- ExhaleStep 7- Quit smoking.ALso, on your first cigarrete. Or two, or maybe three; You will probably cough and choke a lot. After 1 drag to 2 cigarretes or so more it should go away. On your first butt, choose a light cigarette. Marlboro lights was mine, camel lights, whatever. A menthol is not the way to go when you begin smoking, its way to rough.

-
hmmm..well i still feel like a kid and im 18 ^.^ im gonna assume that once your legal age is when your an adult.

You said, " I noticed my motor skills being impared". So even if it doesn't give you cancer (there are studies that point both ways), it can potentially cause other problems, especially for a developing brain. It's probably not a good idea to suggest to someone who doesn't understand how smoking works that he try marijuana instead.
