Just wondering how many guys, and girls for that matter actually got the "talk:(about sex and puberty and other stuff) from their parents.I never and I think that all parents need to sit down with ther kids and have a chat. I guess it could be awkward for both parties but i think hearing it from parents would help build the realtionship a bit and would open up doors for future questions that we might have.I know there is other means of finding out this kind of stuff but reading it on a web site or hearing it form a teacher at school would have been my second choice.

The "talk"
-
I did. When I was 8 or 9, I asked about babies. I got the most graphic answer you could imagine. No need to talk about sex anymore.
-
i did it was really awkward though i already knew but my parents NEVER talk about about that stuff to me alot even if i ask :stuck\_out\_tongue\_winking\_eye:
-
I feel the same way dude. I never had the "talk" and well.. I don't think it would be THAT awkward. My parents will rarely ever talk to me, but I guess if they talked about that it would open me up to them a little bit, in a way.
-
I never had the talk but I guess it would be good for you and your parents realtionship

I live with my dad so he gave me my first talk locked inside the car telling me about all the nasty stuff he did when he was young by then i was considering jumping out of the car. and then my mom started talking to me about how my step dad had a wet dream i was also stuck in the car and nearly vomited and had to beg her to stop i don't even think they did that to my little brother talk about cruel
-
I've never acutally had a talk. Thought my dad has sayed a few small things.I tended to learn this stuff on my own.
-
i never had the talk either, so sadjavascript:void(0)
-
no,my friend told me the basic stuff.some how my parents found out,so they didn't have to.i found out the details on the net
-
My parents kinda haven't but then have like my mum will reasure me when i get anxietious about puberty and my dad does tell me that some liongury isn't 4 me but thats about it!!!P.S. Soz about the spelling it is just that i dont have a dictionary infront of me or in my head that contains every word that ever was!!!
-
We've never had "THE TALK", but we talk about sex and stuff all them time... It's no big deal, just another part of life. Although, I don't really talk about that sort of thing with my dad, pretty much because I don't think sex is something that he really discusses... I mean, he would rather talk about something philosphical, while my mom likes to talk about stuff going on in life right now.
-
One day I said to my dad,: "Dad we watched the tape about puberty in school today"dad: "Oh, you did? have any questions?"me: "When did you start puberty?"dad: "8-9'ish it was very weird I remember this one t-"me: "stop"
-
i learnt it from my friend when i was 8 or 9 or sumthing...and then we made out alot, but thats a different story.my parents tryed, best they did was give me a book. lame
-
Not officially. But I have talked with my parents about that stuff if it comes up in regular conversation. I also got a book.
-
I watched the sex tape in school. Parents said do you want a alk about the birds and bees, i said no thank you im fully awear how it all works They just said ok and laughed
-
My first talk was kind of funny but pointless. I was talking to my mom and she said keep it in your pants, I don't want any grand children around here
-
Lol. Thats a very get to the point one of safe sex.
-
My parents never did. My dad certainly never would, and my mom pretty much told me about puberty and growing up etc. but nothing about sex or anything along those lines. I kinda wish she did, we did a "sex ed" in school but it was basically just common knowledge. I wish my mom would talk to me about it, but by this point I doubt there's much she could tell me.
-
I learned the things about sex from the sex ed at school and from my cousin who was about two years elder than me.
My parents have never talked about sex or puberty with me. And I started masturbation at the age of 11. No one taught me, I found that by just touching myself. When I thought back, I still do not know why I knew masturbation by myself.

I got "the talk" and a book about it when I was 10.when I was 11 and had a girl friend my mom had a very odd discussion for 30 minutes. The bottom line was "Use a condom"
