Where I live, finding a place to run, bike, and swim is nearly impossible. Not to mention, all three are very boring to me. Lately I've been doing just some random things such as sidestraddle hops (jumping jacks), push ups, situps, flutter kicks, and shadowboxing. Those get me nice and out of breath, about the same amount if not more than running and biking. Are those suitable ways of getting my daily cardio, or is it basically just better to stick to running and biking? Thanks in advance.

Best thing to do is to stick to whatever you find most enjoyable. Shadow boxing is great. Do you need to get around anywhere? Try biking. That way you actually have a reason to do it.I bike everywhere all year long through sun, rain, wind, and snow. I do triathlon, but I never actually have to get out to train on my bike except to ride my road bike (as opposed to my usual mountain bike) and make sure I'm familiar with the feel of it once or twice right before a race. It's a great way of getting activity without having to set too much extra time aside and it gives you an actual destination for those people who don't enjoy riding around in circles or down trails. Walking or running places will give you the same results, but I find running gets me too sweaty for anything like school or work.
