Do you like live music? What kind?I love going to rock gigs. Rock of any variety, including stuff I wouldnt normally buy on CD. One of my favoite feelings is being at some gig, jumping around to something fast. I remember my first ever big-time gig, it was Electric6 (normally into heavier stuff than that), that was a laugh, I got right at the front and ended the nigh with bruises all over my stomache from being pushed against the railing.

I love concerts. I've been to a variety of them but I find Rock to be the best.
-
very often, I enjoy stuff live that is outside the genres I like.Live Jazz is pretty cool. But you all know me, dyed in the blood punk! The last show I saw was 4 weeks ago... Ministry (Revolting Cocks were the opening band) awsome show, absoluetly intense!
-
Live Jazz is pretty cool.Live Jazz isn't always cool. Have you ever heard Jazz improvisations on old songs (Beatles, etc)? It's really boring and most of the Jazz concerts are like this.
-
TopI love live music, especially rock and indie, im going to Leeds festival in August which should be a class 3 days, check the lineup!www.leedsfestival.com

There is no need to top nudge or bump a thread, its not neccessary. As long as the thread isn't too old you can simply just add what you wish.

I went to the Carling Weekend Festival at Reading here in the UK last year. It was the best weekend of my life EVER and I'm going again this year. Don't know how big Kasabian are in other countries but they are quite unique and thier sound is awesome. They are the best live act I've ever seen Other great bands that weekend include, Foo Fighters, Razorlight, My Chemical Romance (I Music festivals are the one of the best things I've ever experienced. I seriously suggest people go to them
-
I like all types of rock (except emo)Mostly metal thoughgoing to Sounds of the Underground tomorrow
-
coincidently... "Straping Young Lad" is playing around here soon. I like them BUT they were one of Fucktard's favorite's and she and teen-boy used to gush about them so I think I'll catch them on their next tour.

Ive been to a couple of rock concerts and it does give you a thrill. The music is so loud you ears go numb and you cant hear for like a day and you can hear your chest pumping vibrations. Its also cool how everyone around you just starts screaming out lyrics and you can feel free to join in. The bad prat is A) sometimes hte music is unclear and your like wtf but who cares its loud and B) Those damn pot heads lighting some stuff up and the wind blowing it into your face.
-
You don't like part B? Hehehe just kidding, but yeah the experience is sooooo fun

Two word: ear plugs. I once stopped at the drug store on the way to a concert I knew was going to be loud (DJ/electronic music) to pick up a package of ear plugs. Someone next to me was complaining about the sound level, so I offered him a pair of plugs, and then a bunch of people converged on me for theirs. I felt like the orange sunshine guy at the Dead concert.
-
discoverd the joy of ear plugs years ago... especially in a smaller venue, it actually increases the intelligibility of the music
-
OMFG, I went to an MC5 concert downstairs at the Middle East in Boston...I brought a pair of earplugs for me and a pair for my friend. We would have had splattered brains without the earplugs (we were very close to the stage). My friend was greatful.
-
Wearing earplugs...you guys are old. I like to be close to the stage, but I am so short I always get squished....and fondled by asshole security guards.
-
quishes LisaI may be old but I can still hear
-
Wearing earplugs...you guys are old.If you ever have a buzzing sound or dull hearing after loud noises/concerts/etc... You've done permanent ear damage. Earplugs may seem stupid, but if you don't want to wear hearing aids when you are old.... then a little prevention can go a long way.
-
I know, I was joking. My brother was head of security at our local concert venue. He has saved his ears by always wearing ear plugs.
-
I've never been to a concert. I'm a concert virgin saving it for Led Zeppelin. Other than my own concerts, i have seen some on video. Its not very loud. probaly like 300 decibles on my amp. My hearing is just fine, and i don't wear ear plugs on stage, unless it's full out. I'd say 500 decible does the trick.
-
LOL Purple.. spewing out nonsense again.
You have no concept of what 300 decibels are.
