Hello,Quite some time ago I posted my concerns on here. (Pg 3 if you want to check it) I thought my problem was warts but when I went to the doc they said it was deffinately Molluscum. I'm coming to realize that this is a very uncommon thing. So, anyway, back to my question at hand. I have gone to the doctor and had the Molluscum bumps removed. All is well now that there are no visible signs/growths. Im wondering, because I forgot to ask the doc, if now that they have been frozen off am I still gonna give that shit to anybody if I have un-protected sex with my girlfriend. (And Yes I have been having PROTECTED sex with her for a LONG time (too long actually)) She knows about the situation and she has no signs of anything on her. I just want to know what my future holds. Do I have to wear a condom the rest of my life???

If its not visible, is it still there???

Doctor's still aren't sure how long you are infected, however, removing the lesions reduces the risk of spreading the virus. It seems doctors are unsure of the risks...its still suggested to wear a condom...check out the ASHA site for more info. Hope this helps! http://www.ashastd.org/stdfaqs/molcon.html

I have it. I was told that, like chicken pox, (molluscum is a pox virus) after you are completely clear of bumps you aren't contagious anymore.
