I've noticed the majority comes from either the US or the UK... Some other English-speaking countries here, as well. A question to you guys - what are you thinking when reading a post by someone outside that region(s)? Are you wondering if their clinics or houses are the same as yours? Or do you assume it's basically the same in the 'civilized' world? Are you surprized to see people from distant places here?I just thought - isn't it amazing? Some of us are in tall apartment buildings, some are in their private houses miles away from the nearest neighbor, and we all see the same design of A2A... just in different settings. I hope this will help us learn something about other counrties and overcome some stereotypes.

A2A goes int'l

You sound like you're on drugs mate.E.g. In reply to: I just thought - isn't it amazing? It is like you have just discovered you have hands after being overactive with your nostrils and rolled up note.I am guessing you don't really travel. If you have you would know the world is pretty much the same over. There are differences (e.g. don't give someone a "thumbs up" sign if ever in Afghanistan) however the people who come to this sort of website tend to be a guy with a problem. End of story, problems are the same regardless of origin. So basically, I am no more surprised to see an American on this website than I am seeing someone from Lebanon (however in present circumstances I would be surprised if their biggest worry was how big their dick is, or they couldn't get a girlfriend). There is a hint in the name www = world wide web.Yes the technology is amazing that we can communicate with someone thousands of miles away. But I would have thought since we have been doing it for while now the novelty would have worn off.Mr. Nuts

Ouch, I'm hurt. Just came back from Tunisia 2 weeks ago. Does that count for travel?
-
I think it's pretty neat how we all can get together and communicate on the same website regardless what country we are in. It's pretty neat if you sit down and think about it.
And to the others "bashing" medved for this thought, I think it was uncalled for. Instead fo trying to pick people apart perhaps you should really hear what someone is saying instead of reacting first.
-
I understand what your saying. I have never been out of Ohio. I think it would be amazing to look out the window and see the ocean or a mountain.

In reply to: I think it would be amazing to look out the window and see the ocean or a mountain. Or my back yard?

nice pictures... sorry, I know you said they were just for Lisa but I peeked lol
I'll have some pictures of my own from Halifax in just over a week. I'll have some from St Lucia next year.
I had a bunch from Cammore & Banff in the mountains but possibly F/T took those with her... I should check.

It is kind of a neat thought.

Oh, Helms those are gorgeous!!! That first picture...that is exactly what I want to see when I wake up in the morning. Although, I am sure Mr. U has a lovely backyard. cry I want to travel!
-
I'd love to wake up and see snow covered mountainsI am hoping to visit BC within the next year or so

I think it's really cool how we can all talk together even thought we are miles apart (hell, the telephone still blows my mind! lol) A couple of months ago I managed to find someone online who I hadn't talked to for 10 years, when we both lived in Saudi Arabia. Now we're in England, and it's wierd to be able to talk to her after so long. I'm coming to America in one year, and I've never been there, but it's really exciting to think about travelling so far.

post 'em up in your window :P.
medved, it is quite an interesting thought, i think. Same community, viewed from different sides of the world.

Well heres a picture taken about 14 hours from where yours were taken and it reflects my current mood so well.about 180 feet off the ground and 20 feet or so from the last rap point anchor on the desecent of a pretty decent climb.
-
Out my front door and out my bedroom window you can see the mountains, waking to frost and seeing hte fuckers covered in fsnow, its really over rated when ya live there and see it daily, all that fucking white all the time for the entire winter into early summer, it gets damned depressing.

This thread sure got hijacked in a hurry. Numbnuts is now an honorary American, and HelmsmaN lives in a pineapple under the sea.To the little kiddies on this site, the Internet has been around forever. They can't conceive of a time when people in different countries wrote letters with pen and paper (on very lightweight stationary). They've always had at least 50 cable channels full of garbage, and they don't realized that the cost of an international phone call was measured in dollars per minute (adjusted for inflation).Yet even though we have all this communication, all this MTV International, I still see foreign tourists (most noticeably, American tourists) in foreign countries, annoying the locals. One would hope that in a place like this, where a diverse cross section of Web surfers with personal issues get together, that some sensitivity and understanding toward other cultures will result.Anyone who has a clue as to how the communications infrastructure was designed and implemented will be in awe and amazement that something so complex can actually work. The more you know about it, the more amazed you will be. What you said is well worth pondering.

Ooo, can we speak like a different language on this forum now too?

I know too much,it doesnt leave me in awe, it jsut gives me a fucking headache to ponder how inteh christ someone figured it all out, then put it all together.I cant understand it all, but I havea pretty good working knowledge of what happens when I push the submit button and how computers view the pages. There are a milllion people that know more then I, but i bet they couldnt blow the fuck out of anything nearly as impressivly or as safely as I can.Let them ponder that!bastards

well, I have a cough year or cough cough two in telecom. What amazes me is how much gets pushed over physical infrastructure that is 10, 20, 40 or more years old.
