In reply to: To the little kiddies on this site, the Internet has been around forever. They can't conceive of a time when people in different countries wrote letters with pen and paper (on very lightweight stationary). They've always had at least 50 cable channels full of garbage, and they don't realized that the cost of an international phone call was measured in dollars per minute (adjusted for inflation).Yet even though we have all this communication, all this MTV International, I still see foreign tourists (most noticeably, American tourists) in foreign countries, annoying the locals. One would hope that in a place like this, where a diverse cross section of Web surfers with personal issues get together, that some sensitivity and understanding toward other cultures will result.Anyone who has a clue as to how the communications infrastructure was designed and implemented will be in awe and amazement that something so complex can actually work. The more you know about it, the more amazed you will be. What you said is well worth pondering Very well said!

I haven't lived one day where I haven't thought the exact same thing. Every time I am out someplace and I see a computer, I wonder what places and things people have seen on there.
