I have noticed this already in the past a few times.Sometimes when I just apply a slight pressure on those "cushions" around the exit then it hurts or feels uncomfortable.I do not know if hemorrhoids could cause this. Last time I was a proctologist was in December 2008.Now I noticed again that when I just apply some pressure on this are then it hurts. It's not really pain but it feels uncomfortable and I don't know if this is normal. I also cannot tell exactly what it is what feels uncomfortable, wether it is the "cushion" itself or wether it is a few millimetres next to it and the area around it. (see pic)What could cause this? is it normal that this area is sensitive or hurts? If even pressing on it with some toilet paper is uncomfortable then I really wonder how some people are able to insert stuff in their butts. http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/4213/fissure.jpg

Anus is pressure-sensitive

Most often a bit of anal pain is either haemorrhoids or a fungal (yeast) infection. A fungal infection is quite common, since it's a dark and sweaty place, but some fungal cream solves it quite quickly, and would not be harmful if it turned out to be something else. Haemorrhoids can be felt, or seen in a mirror.

I did some more tests. The pain definitely is caused by touching the "cushion". It is exactly at 12 o clock when you touch it.
I also think that I have external hemorrhoids cause when I check out my butt in the mirror then it looks exactly like on this pic.
But it has always looked like this and no proctologist ever said "hey you got external hemorrhoids". Maybe they simply didnt feel like it matters, I dont know. But the cushions around the exit are definitely touch sensitive. Is this a reason to be worried? If it's only hemorrhoids which cause this then I dont care but I was worried it could also be something else. -
It could well be the haemorrhoids, but it wouldn't hurt to try some antifungal cream to see if it helps. Those two causes are by far the most common causes of pain there.

I think the pressure sensitivity is only temporary. At the moment it seems to be gone and there is no pain but I also didn't really did much testing. If it comes and goes then maybe it's caused by bowel movements. I'm not sure if external hemorrhoids could sometimes be sensitive and sometimes not.
