The roof of my car had a leak. It rained, and the water dissolved the glue in the fabric on my ceiling... So now there are two areas (about 9"x4") that are not stuck to the actual roof of the ceiling. Is there a way I could get the cloth to stick there?

My car's roof is fugly

So tell me ... how the hell is this a "Miscellaneous Medical Problem"?
-
LOL... Oh geez. Skip the Medical part, because that's definetly what I did (accidentally).

Whats the car worth?
first you have to fix the leak.
if its a nice metal car, Id mig weld over it and then gfrind it off and paint the car.
second choice would be to bondo it, firt sandig with some nice 20 grit to really fuck up the metal, then apply the bondo, sand it smooth and paint the car. Then Id replace the entire headliner.
hit some fabric shops, find some forgiving shit, like fuzzy shit about the consitence of felt. working in about 1 foot sections spray a good adhesive on the roof, then press the material into place. I did it on a fireird I restored and it looked better then the shit the factory had in it when it was made.
If the car isnt worth the money and time, Id take off th trim, drop the headliner, use alight glue to push it back into place then reinstall it all and sell the car. -
Leak is fixed, and my car's roof is a soft top, if that means anything.
-
Not soft top as in convertible ?Im assuing its not since Iv never been in a convertible that had a head liner, but iM far from an expert on cars so maybe.Im assuming that the softtop is a older car, metal with like vinyl affixed over the top of it just on the roof part of the car.Il stick to my original post, after the leak fixing part as far as how to do and if to do it right or if to fix it good enough and sell it.look into what the car is worth vs what it would cost to do it right.

As in not convertable. The car IS crappy, but I don't want the rest of the roof to fall down... Plus, I like stuff to look nice. I think I will just do what Helmsman suggested, because I really don't think the car is worth that much.
