I finally saw this movie last night "Before Sunrise" with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. It's about an American who is killing time before a plane trip home after breaking up with his girlfriend and a woman from Paris who meet each other on a train ride. They talk and really connect then the guy convinces her to get off at Vienna to walk around with him until the next morning when he has to leave. The whole thing totally got to me. Two 20 somethings fall in love and know they will likely never see each other again. It's all about "the one that got away." Their conversations and glances and first kiss were perfect and spot on. Well, I had something almost exactly like that happen to me (except it was a little longer than a day). Early this year I had a long term relationship end, then soon after met the PERFECT girl. The only problem she was working on an internship and was moving back to South Dakota in a matter of weeks. I put it in the back of my mind and we spent as much time together as possible. We even spent an awesome day in New York City walking around seeing stuff, talking, going to places, just like that movie. That was my last day with her.For the past day thinking about my past few relationships and that movie is killing me. A few times I literally had tears streaming down my face. And I hardly cried about them before.Heh, I don't know what the point of this post is. I think it's a great movie and people should see it. A sequel came out a couple years ago called "Before Sunset" and both characters are in their 30s. I might check it out in 10 years to get the full effect. Oh yeah, I did meet a new girl last week, but we haven't gone out yet. She's definitely interested in me. I don't want to get my hopes up.
