I am planning on getting tested but i was just wondering if this might be anything else. I have a rash like thing that i thought might me razor burn, but now it seems like i have small sores, or bumps around my vagina. i havent had sex in awhile, and my partner didnt have herpes.but i was wondering if it could be transfered through hands? like if i were to touch an infected person and then myself.

Help me please.

Once it's identified the doctor will explain everything to you about treatment and the liklihood of transmission etc, but it's pretty universal that std's are almost excusively contracted through sexual activity alone. I dont think there's any point telling yourself a partner wasnt unfaithful and you may have contracted it some other way. This seems to me to be what you're getting at, but I'm sorry if I'm wrong in thinking that. Just get yourself along to a doctor asap and try not to panic. Take care.

the thing is im not with my partner anymore. and the last time we have had sex was probably over 2 months ago. and these signs just started showing up. is it possible to transfer it through touching someone that is infected and possible touching yourself. im really confussed on how i might have herpes, if i do.

Some STD's take very much longer than that to show symptoms and some, frighteningly, never show any at all. If you do have one, it's almost certain to have been the result of unprotected sexual activity. The longer you leave going to the doctor the worse the symptoms will get and some STD's have appalling side effects, such as causing infertility if not treated early enough. I'm not trying to frighten you here, just trying to impress upon you the urgency with which you ought to be booking that doctors appointment. You said in your original post that your partner didnt have herpes, but how do you know? Are you aware that the symptoms of herpes come and go and therefore arent apparent all the time? In other words, just because he looked STD free really tells you nothing at all. I hate to have to tell you that, but it's true. Please go to the doctor asap.
