I think I have external hemorrhoids, they are like soft "bags" around the anus.
Sometimes the itch and prick when I make certain moves, which is strange. For example sometimes when I lean over and pick something up it pricks. Is this characteristical for hemorrhoids?
I also keep the area very clean and also shower it and I noticed that it hurts when the jet of water is too strong and then touches this area. Do you also have this?
What's also strange is that I went to a proctologist a few months ago because of something else and I was sure that he would comment on the hemorrhoids because he must have seen them but he said nothing, I wonder why. If he thought that it's not that bad or wether he simply didn't want to mention it because I was there because of something else.

What problems do hemorrhoids usually make?

He would have probably still mentioned it, if a doctor examines you and there are hemorrhoids present it's usually very easy to spot. You should go to your doctor and ask him to do a simple examination that will take a couple of minutes and if it's hemorrhoids he can give you some cream and it'll be fixed in no time. If however he can't see hemorrhoids or even worse says "there doesn't appear to be anything wrong here" then it will be something else. Something that a lot of people never even consider is a rectal prolapse, it's not serious but can cause similar symptoms to hemorrhoids without being easy to spot.
