It seems like my foreskin is different from others I've seen. It still folds into a knob when flaccid and almost completely covers the glands when erect. When I try to pull it back it doesn't go past the ridge of the glands, which makes me think I have a short frenum. Other uncut guys look almost circumsized when erect, especially when they retract their foreskin. I know penises come in all shapes and sizes, but I'm thinking about getting circumsized so that I'd look more normal. I drew a quick sketch so that you'd have a better idea of what I'm talking about.I'm not sure how to post an image so here's the address.http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/9413/penis2mj5.png

"normal" foreskin

If your problem is a short frenulum then the solution isn't a circumcision but to have a very minor operation called a frenuloplasty which essentially just lengthens it. It's usually done under local anaesthetic and as far as I'm aware it's pretty much always successful.

you know i wouldn't worry about it, mine looks the same way, as long as you can retract it with out problem, i wouldn't worry too much

I found this diagram on the internet. It didn't give any information on how far the foreskin should retract, so it would be great if some of you guys could share your results. I think I'm an "f".http://www.male-initiation.net/library/drawings/frenulum/image13.gif

well if thats based on being erect then i'm an f but if is while flacid, then i'm an i

I think anything from f onwards, erect, is fine.
I can't tell any difference between h and i in the picture.

I am similar to you in the sense there is extra foreskin off the head when I am flaccid and it still covers the head almost 100% when I get hard. (similar to a and b respectively)
If I pull it back by hand I can get to somewhere between e and f when hard, and h when soft. When I was younger I was c or d.

It still folds into a knob when flaccid I think most are like this, give or take.

If you're retracting to an "f", then you are completely fine. The head is completely exposed, and that is what matters. Not all guys can retract their foreskins all the way down the shaft so it looks like they're circumcised when erect. It is completely normal to have the foreskin bunch up a bit behind the ridge of the head. The important part is that you can retract the foreskin comfortably to completely reveal the head. Anything past there is "optional" and not necessary for a fully functional healthy penis. If you want to retract further for whatever reason, you could probably see results from the foreskin stretching exercises listed on this forum. But you really don't need to. And you certainly don't need circumcision or any other surgery.
