Ok so now my mom has come back from vactaion she insists on buying me piece of shit food, like microwave meals and shit like that. I refuse to eat it. I havnt eaten in 3 days and have just been living off beer. I know eating she crap she buys is better than just beer but I cant eat it, it makes me feel sick. Will eating the shit she buys effect my muscle gain? I know I should really eat but I cant bring myself to eat the food she is buying, it makes me feel sick after eating healthy for 2 months. Its just so full of shit. And it makes me depressed when I do eat it, its seriously horriable.

Fucking pissed off

Hunger Strike?Stay away from this evil food!
-
Too bad :-/ Have you tried buying your own food unless you don't got money You should have a 1 on 1 chat with her and tell her why you won't eat the food, and give her some good reasons. And I guess if that doesn't work then you could have a hunger strike :-O But I don't recommend it.Anyway goodluck with your problem, I hope it works out fine for you.
-
No Yea, Mr. Possum. Talk to your mom about it, if she still buys the food, then try to find another source of food. I hope your mom cares more about your health then the cash!
-
it makes me feel sick after eating healthy for 2 months.
OK.. why don't you continue eating the way you have for the past 2 months? Obviously you weren't starving for the past 2 months.....

Unprocessed real food is usually cheaper than junk food, though.
-
Yo atleast your getting food, all i got to eat here is top ramen, rice and nasty speghetti
-
okay that's a definite role reversal. Usually it's students who buy the instant foods and parents who try to force good wholesome fresh stuff into them. However, since she has taken to buying the instant stuff, it's time to complete the switch and for you to take over the shopping and cooking and insist she eat healthy. Oh, and if she thinks prepared, heat and eat foods are less costly, she hasn't really done her homework. I always find that the fresh produce and meats are way less expensive pound for pound; it's only the meagre portions they put in ready to eat packages that make them look cheaper.

I havnt got the money for food, I have about 20 pounds left now to last me while I am trying to get a job. Which could be a while. Its not really a hunger strike as such, I just cant eat "heavy" foods atm if you know what I mean. And eating junk foods pretty depressing. It just makes me feel ill. Its not my money that buys the food so she can get what she likes and I should be happy to get food in the first place even if it makes me feel like crap. But anyway my question was is eating the way I am atm going to be effecting my gains from the gym?
-
It definitely will. Without proper nutrition you won't see any more gains, and if you're skimping out on carbs, proteins, and fats (of which a lot of processed foods have way too many saturated and trans) you will inevitably become more catabolic and start losing weight and muscle. Your immune system will weaken, leaving you prey to getting sick and that's another blow to what you've earned in the gym since that's another drain on your body.Nutrition is very important and going for more than a couple days with poor nutrition is far from healthy. Try convincing your mom about why she should eat healthier and tell her that you'll help her to make healthier choices if she's unsure as to what she should get. It must be difficult in your situation without any money to continue buying your own food, but you need to try to find a source of income or convince your mom because this is very unhealthy for your body.

Unprocessed real food is usually cheaper than junk food, though. You would be amazed at how expensive fresh food is, at least in the U.S. It one reason that poor people tend to have poor diets here. Also, if you have no experience buying healthy food, it takes some effort to figure out what to buy, and what to do with things that aren't processed or already prepared. The best caloric bang for the buck is fast food, but it will kill you.
-
It seems that your mom left you money for food while she was gone... Is that the case? Then why don't you ask your mom to split the money so that you can shop for yourself or... help your mom shop for food to satisfy the both of you?
-
Good idea, SDP!
-
That's interesting Steve - it's not the situation here.

Yer she did, she feels she "needs to cook for me" when Im here in which I dont wanna eat most of it. She works nights at work and was buying me microwavable shit. But yer I had a "talk" well more like an argument about it last night and convinced her to buy me better food. It really pissed me off that I come home and my sister has turned vegitarion all of a sudden and shes got her own special vegi shit food where as my opinion on what I eat doesnt matter and I was still having to eat the same crap, even tho my sisters "pussy ass bitch food" is twice as much. Anyway hopfully shes getting me what I asked her too when she next goes shopping
