I was diagnosed with Genital Warts. The only person I have been with didnt know he was infected and gave it to me. I have a few questions. Once I get the warts removed completely, if I stay with my partner always do we still always have to wear a condom now, and can we both give each other oral sex or will we get infected again. How likely if we stay together are outbreaks going to happen again. Ive heard alot about men contracted the HPV virus and not even knowing they have it. Please help all the websites talk about what they look like symptoms and treatments. I got one treatment done today but I need to get one more

You should both abstain from sex until you are BOTH treated. I'm assuming he is also seeing a doctor?

I dont know if you got my last post but im talking about after we both get treated how will it be for the rest of our lives always wear condoms if we are still with each other after getting married and what about oral will we contact it orally?
-
After you are BOTH trated, the virus should be, for the most part, inactive and you won't have any problems. You can expect the possibility for warts to show up even after treatment. You have to be vigilant and look for new outbreaks. Other than that, you'll be fine.

So if we stay together will we always have to wear condoms during sex or if we stay together we wont have to. I just dont want the warts to come back. he hasnt had an outbreak that I know of, but also can you get them in the throat and how do you know. How is it going to affect oral sex?

Once the warts are killed off or supressed, you wont have any worries. You don't have to worry much about warts in the throat. That's relatively rare.My wife and I had a bout with warts 17 years ago. Never came back after treating them for a period of 6-9 months.

what about wearing condoms after tretment will we always have to wear them forever? also what about havin kids?

Like I said. Once you are treated.... it's over..you're fine.

Im really sorry one more question that I have. If he does not have an outbreak how is he treated or how do they know that he has it. I have only been with him so what I got has to be from him. How do they check guys for STDs or the HPV virus anyways?
-
It's kind of tough if there are no outbreaks. There has to be a very thorough visual exam. One way of check is to soak a towel/paper in white/plain vinegar and then wrap the penis in the towel for a while. Warts will turn white. It's something you guys might want to try.

Ok i would want a doctor to do that. How does a guy get checked for STD's?
