This is the real deal, so you might as well make the best of it.

long before Nike said it, it was my life philosophy... just do it.So, I did... I did it... all the time.and I'm lucky to be aliveI don't think I have another life coming so I think I'll just live the shit out of this one!
-
Oh, it worked, darlin'...I just couldn't do anything about it in that state

I asked a simple question to ask what people thought...and figured I'd be satisfied with whatever answers they had about "what lies beyond". You, however, seem to want to make every thread a debate and to automatically take the opposite position of whatever any poster happens to ask or say. To be perfectly honest, I'm a little tired of it. Seriously, have you EVER agreed with any poster from the beginning? Other than yourself, I mean?
If your goal is to drive people away from this site, I think you're succeeding.
Great bumper sticker I saw not too long ago: "Life is short...don't be a dick." You may want to consider that.

To be perfectly honest, I'm a little tired of it. Awwww....paaaaw wittle baaabeeee! Now take a deeeeep breath....exhale slowly. Again. Do we feel better?> Seriously, have you EVER agreed with any poster from the beginning? Yes, many many. Should I stick in a "Yes, you are sooooo correct!" every time I agree? I can't help it if you're so frequently wrong.> "Life is short...don't be a dick." You may want to consider that.I'm not a dick. You're a dick. You may want to ponder that. Nyah nyah! You're a poopie head!> I asked a simple question to ask what people thought...and figured I'd be satisfied with whatever answers they had about "what lies beyond".And I told you what I thought, as did everyone else who posted to this thread. I can't help it if you only want to hear what you want to hear. Maybe you should be more tolerant of other people's point of view. (** Now ducking thrown objects. **} I suggest flirting less and thinking more. What do you think?Did just hijack your own thread? Because it looks like you just hijacked your own thread.

In reply to:my focus was in making people THINK about what they believe Isn't that what Steve has been doing this entire time? when he makes posts its not just "waa waa waa youre wrong". If you didn't want your beliefs questioned, why did you post this in the first place?
-
>>That applies to the physical world. When people are talking about "energy" in spirituality, they're not talking about the same thing, although sometimes they think they are.
Thanks for that Steve, but, I'm not actually retarded. I realise this, but this happens to be how I choose to perceive the whole spirituality thing. I can belive what ever the fuck I feel like.
>>>When your car dies, where does its soul go?
I don't have a car
-
I can belive what ever the fuck I feel like.Yes you can, and you go girl. But when scientific principals are applied in spiritual contexts, madcap obliquity and bewilderment is often the result.>> When your car dies, where does its soul go?> I don't have a carWhen your family's car dies, where does its soul go?
-
> When your car dies, where does its soul go?
To the repair shop.
-
That applies to the physical world. When people are talking about "energy" in spirituality, they're not talking about the same thingAnd why not? Why can't spiritual energy be intertwined with the physical?
-
When my car dies, it goes for an engine transplant, if it's really that bad... if my dad's car dies, it goes to the big scrapyard in the sky where all good cars retire eventually, and, if mom's car dies... Fiat get a very nasty letter, as it's 6 months newer than mine, and, used a hell of a lot less (it has about 12,000 miles on the clock and it's 4 years old!!! ... to give you a clue... my mileage is nearer 60k lmao)
and, when I die... I think Lucifer might need to find somewhere warm to retire  lmao
Only kiddin about that last part... anyway, on topic... beliefs are just that, what we "believe" in ourselves to be true  personally, I agree with Cute's views, largely because I think that religion has been so twisted over time by people in power, to make it suite their needs (look at any form of radicalism for proof) that none of them are wholly true, so, I choose to believe that as long as I live the best life I can, and, have no regrets, then, whatever the afterlife holds, it can't be that bad

Cause nobody likes the thought of their house appliances being run on the spirits of dead people.
-
Interesting thing is that, just as those in power might (and sometimes do) change religion around to suit their own needs, so do a lot of those not in power change their own beliefs around to further the same end. Life is nice and easy when we have decided to have no regrets regardless of what we do...but just as those in power, aren't we just fooling ourselves to have things the way we want? The only sure way is to take the decision about truth out of our own hands...it's the only way it can remain unchanged over time. When "true north" of our moral compass can change with the winds of our desires, how sure can we ever be about what direction we're really travelling in?
-
Well the True North of our planet is out of our control yet it changes all the time. Maybe some things are just meant to change.
-
LOL...you refer to magnetic north. True north never changes.
-
Actually...."The direction of true north is marked in the skies by the celestial north pole. For most practical purposes, this is the position of Polaris. However, due to the precession of the Earth's axis, true north rotates in an arc that takes approximately 25,000 years to complete. Currently, in 2002, Polaris is at its closest approach to the celestial north pole. 2,000 years ago, the closest star to the celestial north pole was Thuban."http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/True_north

Wikipedia - 2Human Spirit - 0

Not really, because if Wikipedia is seen as an example of human spirit, then who is it up against?
-
North is described as one end of the axis upon which our planet spins...south being the other end. It has nothing to do with the relation of the tilt of the earth's axis over a span of time in relation to the known plane of the universe. The only thing that changes is what point in the sky true north is pointing at at a given time. It isn't called anything but "north" 10,000 years from now, is it? North doesn't one day, all of the sudden, become south, does it?Your statement is what I call a "reaching tangent"...about as far off topic as you can get while still retaining something from the original statement. I'll just add that the fact you try to avoid my point means you got it.
-
Ever heard of Geomagnetic Reversal? According to current observations, North will become South in about a 1,000 years or so. Granted, the change doesn't happen over night, instead over the course of about 7 to 15 years. Which when put in perspective, thats pretty fast for the world to turn on its head! And I agree in part withyour statement, but when all moral choice is removed from our hands and controlled by a seperate body, we are left with a dictatorship that removes all human control from living.
