About a week ago I went to the doctor because of irration during urination, so I received medication and tested for a UTI. Now I'm back because the burning hasn't gone away. It turns out the test says I have clean urine but a trace of blood was found in it which the doctor said was "complicated" so I have to take more tests including a one for Chlamydia! I haven't even had sex yet. Does anyone know what this could mean? Is there a chance I may have damaged genitals or worse? This is the last thing I need to happen to me right now...

Just got back from the doctor again...

The doctor is waiting for the results of the tests and I think you'll have to too. It's not likely to be anything that can't be fixed.

A trace of blood in the urine can be caused by almost anything from a minor tear in the urethra to a bladder infection to who knows what. Most often it is something really minor that can be treated easily. So, just relax and wait for the test results. Oh, and a few people always show a trace of blood in their urine - just a normal thing for them.
