When I was about age 9-10 my dad asked me "Can you pull back your 'skin' if your penis is hard?" I didn't really know what h e was talking about so I just replied "Yeah". I have un-cut as you may have guessed, and I am worried. I hate bringing up circumcision to my parents, because they feel uncomfortable about it, so this is my last resort. There is no way, im going to the doctor about my penis and bringing it up to my parents unless I have some sort of rash or STD (No sex, so no STDs LOL). I can easily pull dont my forskin when I am non-erect. I get this weird smell, which im guessing is Smegma (SP?). Also, my head is VERY, I repeat SO SENSITIVE that by touching it, I literally feel pain (but a weird sensation @ the same time). It is also redish/blueish. I cannot pull my forskin past my head when my penis is non-erect. At first I was worried about a short frenulum (sp?). I was reading and I think I read something about surgically removing the frenulum? If it is removed could you easilly pull dont your forskin when it is hard? How can you tell if its short/causing a problem? Is circumcision an option? I have been hearing about creams...What time of creams? I cannot ask my parents for any time of creams, because I really feel SO embaressed some of you wouldnt understand. I have lotion, this Nuevea (Cream?), etc. IS there a special/specific cream? I was thinking about going into a bath every day and trying to stretch it. I really want to get circumcized just because I feel "Left out". I dont want to be the "weird one", I want to be like the rest. How does the procedure work? do they numb you, so you dont feel the pain? If I told my parents I had a short frenulum etc, then maybe they would consider circumcision. My dad is circumsized + every other male in my family, but me. Its just rough. Can anyone answer my questions? Much love, Zb.

Do I need Circumcision?

Hi zb120, the fact that your father asked you means he is aware of the issues, so even if he's embarrassed he should be reasonable. The smell is smegma, and you can minimise it by washing under the foreskin when you have a shower. The head is painfully sensitive at first, but it will get used to being touched and it will stop hurting. Reddish-bluish is a normal colour for the head. Not being able to pull your foreskin back when hard is usually not due to a short frenulum, but to the foreskin's being a bit tight. A short frenulum tends to pull the head down when you are erect; also, if it were a short frenulum, you'd be able to pull the foreskin down much further on the top side than the bottom side.A tight foreskin can be fixed by gentle stretching: have a look at the stretching thread. There are creams that can help, but not things like Nivea cream. I don't know if a prescription is needed.Try stretching for a couple of months before you consider something more drastic like circumcision. They do numb the area so you don't feel pain at the time, though it can hurt a bit later while it is healing.

No, of course you don't "need" a circumcision. Nor do you need to cut your frenum. As the great majority of the world's men are intact, you are part of the majority. Slice off part of your penis and you will be "left out".
Your foreskin is just a slight bit tight ... but fixing it is simple. The process requires only your fingers.
With two fingers inserted inside, pull gently but firmly out, away from your body, as though you were opening a plastic sack, and hold that stretch for up to five minutes. Repeat the exercise two or three times each day, continuing until the formation of new skin cells will allow easy retraction. See this photo: [http://www.foreskin.org/46-33-03.jpg][0]

The "creams" which you mention are likely betamethasone, which is only available under perscription from a doctor. Extremely small amounts of the cream rubbed on the skin to be stretched will help in the process, but they aren't necessary. Relying only on your own fingers will save you the embarrassment of consulting your parents or a doctor.
Wash beneath your foreskin ONLY with clear, clean water. NO SOAP! Soaps tend to kill the friendly, protective bacteria which live there. If they are killed by harsh soaps, the inner foreskin is susceptible to infections. Women face this problem all the time, and pharmacies sell them special preparations to curb the problem.
The extreme sensitivity which you report is perfectly normal. The glans is meant to be "touched" primarily by sopping wet vaginal tissue, so if you intend to touch your glans with your fingers, you should try to duplicate the effect by using a lubricant of some kind ... KY, perhaps. The glans of an intact penis is not meant to be stroked by dry fingers. Intact masturbation should be a dynamic interaction between the glans and the foreskin. In fact, that's how vaginal sex works, too. The vaginal sphincter pushes the foreskin back, on entry, then pulls the foreskin back over the glans on the outstroke. That helps preserve both the natural moisture present on the glans AND natural vaginal moisture.
Men who don't have a foreskin are usually forced to use messy, sticky, expensive, artificial lubricants to facilitate intercourse. As an intact male, you may have felt "left out", but it is only because you weren't aware of all these simple truths.
Relax.
You are the normal one.

ZB: Start having sex and you'll see how much it "hurts". Yeh, like, "Hey, that was great. Do yah wanna do it again?" You just thank your lucky stars that you were left intact.By the way, how did you happen to remain intact?Remember, "stretching" is a process of growing new skin cells, and that requires weeks of daily exercises. But it works! Rood

Remain intact? Umm..My parents never got me cut? They just didnt have time because we came from Bosnia and there was a war, and I think circumcision was the last thing on the doctors mind. After all I wouldnt really consider a little small shed structure a hospital, but it was for the wounded soldiers. Thank god he had some delivery experience.

If your father and male family members are circumcised that means you are muslim. Are they not very religeous?
