Are male eggs and female sperm on the horizon?02 February 2008Peter Aldhous Magazine issue 2641"FEMALE sperm", "male eggs" and "same-sex reproduction" - whether these terms fill you with hope or disgust, a reproductive revolution is already in progress. In a handful of labs across the world, biologists are trying to make genetically male cells develop into eggs, and female cells into sperm. If successful, their efforts might one day allow lesbian and gay couples to have children that are genetically their own. Now Greg Aharonian, a patent analyst from San Francisco, is trying to patent the technologies that could make this possible. In part, Aharonian's goal is to stimulate debate. He argues that lesbians and gay men have a right to know about developments in biology that could allow same-sex reproduction. Aharonian also wants to undermine the argument that marriage should remain an exclusively heterosexual institution because its main purpose is procreation. "I'm a troublemaker," he admits.Sorry I can't copy and paste the rest of the article. But, what do ya think?

Possibility of Same Sex Reproduction In Humans

Awesome!

Where would the baby come out of.
The asshole?
Haha that would kill. It's like taking a huge shit but 10x worse. At least with lesbian couples they have vaginas for the baby to exit.

Ummm no lol.A female would still have to carry the child, they just would not use a female eqq cell. Instead they would use the sperm/egg cell from one male partner and the sperm cell of the other partner. A female would still be needed to carry the child as a male does not have the other equipment.

this is very interesting. It would be great if gay couples could have children that are totally genetically thier own.I can also see that it will be a fairly infrequent occurance and only in the realm of the wealthy for many years (for those who might offer the argument of adding breeders to an overpopulated planet)

HEHE! Even after you have one it is only one combo of what a kid could look like! LOLMy oldest (all younger than me) sister is the EXACT opposite of me,and we have the same parents. She has blond hair, mine is reddish brown, I have freckles, she has none, I am rounder (even when we are wearing the same size I look bigger though I am taller by 3 inches), she got my mom's smile, I got my dads. I have straight teeth, hers are crooked as heck (though my mom's weren't)...and the list just goes on and on!!! Yet, the similarities between my youngest sister, who has a different dad are uncanny!

my son is undeniably mine though there are a few of F/T's traits in there. Now I'm thinking if my best friend and I were to breed lmaoHe's shorter and broader than me, wich is saying alot because I'm already a mile and a half from shoulder to shoulder. Our kid would be one burley bastard!
-
Oh, but you know she would be adorable!!
-
She'd be the first female drafted by the CFL!
-
Wouldn't need a flat head...she could hold a 12 pack on her shoulders!
-
HEY!that's my daughter you're talking about
-
ROTF!!!Well, if you raise her right, you won't have to kick anyones ass for her! She'll do it just fine on her own
-
Ahem, if there is going to be a little Mr. U running around, it's going to be mine.
-
I am absolutely certain that Mr U would much rather making it with you than with his buddy!!!! (and she would be much prettier!)
-
well, if I have to choose between baby making with you or my burley, hairy best friend... I think I'll pick ummmmm YOU
-
I would gladly mix my genetically altered sperm with Mr. U's egg.
-
But..but wouldn't it be more fun the old fashioned way?Pouts I was wanting a video too..
-
Well, you know how Mr. U likes his privacy.
-
My bad. LOL
