Befor i get flammed for not useing preexisting topics please read what i have to say.Today in the middle of sex my frenulum compleatly snapped, there are many posts on the forum about tears and cuts, but it seems none about compleat tears. Im 17 and have a very active sex life i got a small cut about 1 year back and it healed no problem. But it totaly snaped today as in its not connecting anything to anything now .I realy need advising on this. do i need to go to a doctor, operation or can i just leave it.

Frenulum gone.....

Does your foreskin stay retract, or does it stay forward when soft! The frenulum is like a rubber band, that moves the foreskin foreword over the head when soft. You might make it a point to consult with a urologist and make sure that he or she is pro-uncircumcision (like my doctor in LA), good luck.

You need to make sure you keep everyting clean to prevent any infection. I'm not sure if you need to see a doctor or not. The frenulum split... you don't need to nor should you want to have it put back together. You are better off having it split as it affords you more freedom with the forskin and less stress on the frenulum during sex. My only concern is that it heals properly.

so this happend to me the other day and im really concerned as well. my fenulum completely snapped in half and like..right now.. it looks like a stub hanging there and im scared that when it heals im gonna have to get it like cut off to make it look cleaner ..can any give me any reassurance or advice? please i would like to make sure whether or not to consult my physician or not.

I don't know what will happen to the remnant. Perhaps it will shrink. If not, It's a pretty minor procedure to remove the remnant if necessary.
-
do you think it's like a quick snip or is like like..actual operation? cause at this point im still really scared, not to mention how hard it'll be to explain it to my physician. Does anyone know the procedures in removing the remnants of the fenulum?
-
It would be a quick snip or two under local anaesthetic.
You don't have to give the doctor a detailed explanation how it happened. "Breaking your banjo string" is not so uncommon.
-
gosh guys im sorry for asking so many questions about this. also um...where would i be able to get this quick operation at? would the physician do it like.. immediately? im so nervous..
-
Why don't you just let it heal first and then see whats going on.
-
yeah i was thinking about doing that. I figure if i let it heal and it shrinks down short enough, which looks very doubtful at this point, then i'd let it be, but if it's just going to remain a stub then i'd cut it off. thanks guys, im pretty relieved now.

I have a question: did it hurt? I've recently (Last 9 months) been afflicted with very small tears in my frenulm after sex. They always heal, but I know that scar tissue is less flexible than regular skin. I suposse it'll break one day, or I'll have it cut (depending on how much it hurts to have it happen on it's own)

It wasent that painfull tbh. It bleed like there was no tomorrow. seems to be geting better now still a bit sore in sex but i assume that will get better with time
-
yeah it wasn't like extremely painful..a little more pain than a tear. i had to go through a lot of paper towels tho. as of now..my fenulum is like black at the tip and doesn't have much feeling. i hope the doctor can just give me a few aspirins and snip snip. gonna be awkward as hell tho

I managed to sort of tear mine when I was 13 or so. I still have a continuous line, but there’s a tiny nub right under the pee slit. It shrunk with time and it doesn’t look awkward at all.I say you both let it heal and see if it’s okay the way it is — likely it’ll be tender for a good while, but that’ll be all the problem with it.
