http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2006/11/16/arts/NA_A-E_BKS_US_OJ_Simpson.php "If I did it" - That's his books title. I didn't really remember anything about the whole trial at the time, but anyone who writes a book about how they would have done it just screams guilty. Where's a vigilantee when ya need one?

O J Simpson

All I have to say its: Nice going, black man. Make them all look stupid!
-
My thoughts are and always been that he was the murderer and this just helps to basically prove that.Sad part is he could title his book "Yes, I murdered them and this is how I did it" and there is nothing they can do, he cannot be tried again for their murder because of Double Jeopardy. Though I would think they could bring other charges on him, but wouldn’t be anything near murder charges.
-
I don't think it had anything to do with being black. I think it was all about celebrity and money.
-
You'd just have to feel sorry for his late wifes family. Bad enough that they had a family member murdered, now they're having their faces rubbed in it eleven years after the fact when it's well past time they were allowed to move on.

I loved Naked Gun.
-
I totally agree. Look at Scott Petersen...he got the death penalty. I feel bad for the victims families too Starfish. So sad.

I don't think it had anything to do with being black. I think it was all about celebrity and money. That may be true, but it still has the unfortunate effect of of reinforcing people's prejudices (both whites and blacks). If everyone were rational, it would still be a tragedy for the families involved (and their friends), but it wouldn't have such a nasty ripple effect in our culture.

It would be nice to see the book clogging up dollar stores, as apposed to making him any money. I wonder if it will sell, or if people will have taste and turn their head.
It is, after all, like a train wreck, you want to slow down and look....

and Fox is runing a special "if i killed my wife, this is how it happend" could you any clearer say, I kileld her, heres how
-
You two didn't understand my point. Oh, and race did play a crucial role in this trial, but I'm not in the mood to get into a discussion about it.
-
geez, ya know... when he was found not guilty, I was realy willing to let it drop at that. He went to trial and was not convicted. As time goes by though, he keeps proving that his brain is broken.

Another illustrious citizen of the weirdest city in the wierdest state of a wierd country. He's the neighbor of a lawyer who did some minor lawyering for me.

***Sad part is he could title his book "Yes, I murdered them and this is how I did it" and there is nothing they can do, he cannot be tried again for their murder because of Double Jeopardy. Though I would think they could bring other charges on him, but wouldn’t be anything near murder charges.***As for ClassyBlackWoman's comment, which I can't believe was twisted around as it was, I'm just thankful that for every OJ there is at least one Barak Obama.Actually, not only could they bring perjury charges against him, but if they found cause, he could be tried for murder in a federal court. Double Jeopardy in a state court doesn't apply to federal charges. At any rate, the man is an idiot.
-
he could be tried for murder in a federal court. Double Jeopardy in a state court doesn't apply to federal chargesThat may be true under certain very limited circumstances, but not in this case. Also, the criminal trial was not a sham, so they case couldn't be retried on that basis. And what federal crime would Simpson be charged with anyway? He could be tried for another crime, such as a civil rights violation, but I don't see how that would apply, since it was a crime of domestic violence. He's been through a criminal and civil trial, both of which ended in verdicts. I don't see what he has to lose, no matter what he does, short of committing another crime.
-
Nobody is going to, nor whats to, put him through court again. It's not going to happen.
-
More of the Constitution has to be deactivated before that can happen.
-
Personally I'd love to see him in court again; but sure, if that was going to happen, he wouldn’t be out there writing books on how he got away with it..

In reply to: All I have to say its: Nice going, black man. Make them all look stupid! ok, did you mean way to go, make all black men look stupid, or congratulating him?
-
It was sarcasm! Jeeeez, does she need to footnote it?
