Firstly - Great site, I used this as a reference before I decided to go though with it, and thanks to users here I had it done and its going great. I would like to put something back as this site helped me so much, here is my experiance, is long but i hope you find it worth while:I am 22 and living in London UK as a University Student, I was cut on Monday (27/11/06)First off there are a LOT of people out there in the EXTREME camp to ban circumcision, they shout about scare stories of tones of blood, having to live out your life as females, getting impotent. Its all just rubbish. Do you research and you will be fine, remember if you want an extension on your house you get estimates in and references from people who have used the same person, its much the same! I had it done at Custom House Surgery in London (Private) http://www.circumcisions.co.uk/Cost me £370 including a consultation, this is a student rate since I am at University. If you have any student ID you can get this rate, normal adult is £600.I booked my appointment around 2 weeks before the opp, so was very pleased they had a slot, much quicker than the 18 month NHS wait!DAY1I was very nervous walking into the Surgery, but the Doctor quickly put me at ease, saying he had a son my age and he see’s 100’s of people my age and not to worry. He then went though and explained what he was going to do and what I wanted. I asked for “High & Tight” with the scar line fairly high up, my foreskin had cause me a lot of pain and problems I wanted it gone.I was then taken to another room for the opp, whilst lying down on the table with my trousers off I got 4 injectors to the base of my penis (yes Ow!) first one did hurt a lot, but as he did them they got less and less painful, expert the last one which hurt a lot! He then tested me saying can I feel, this, and this and this, my reply was no, no and nope! We then chatted generally about life as the doc went about his job, I could feel nothing as we chatted, before I knew it he said “right that’s it I am just closing up”” – It took about 20 mins and after 30 I was in the waiting room with a bottle of water. The Doctor wanted me to stay until I had taken a leak… which I did and the first thing I noticed was how free flowing and direct the stream was. No problems, no blood no pain. He ok’ed me to leave, and I walked to the station about an hour or so after the opp. I was walking fine, no pain no problems, although a lot slower than usual. Even walked up the stairs to cross the platform, again slower than usual but no problems.Got home and took another leak, although this time the piss went EVERWARE in any possible direction, after some practice I found the best way is to sit down and point your dick to the right.I took a look at my dick and it looked very swollen and sore, I had very tight bandaging around it which was rock hard, I was told to leave this on for FIVE – SEVEN days, not like the NHS where its next day! And soak it off in the bath.I was also told to ware TIGHT underpants and not LOOSE boxers, he told me to putt padding against my dick and put on tight pants and push my dick and balls between my legs as much as possible, this reduced the movement and any discomfort. I could walk around like normal, slower than usual but still fine.Took some pain killers and antibiotics the doc gave me and went to bed, the night was uncomfortable really rather than any pain.DAY 2More of the same really, the glands was still very sensitive and touching it was not an option, kept my tight underpants on and padded the dick well to prevent movement. Took some painkillers during the day as still a little uncomfortable, but really as a precaution. Went to bed again, took some pain killers but woke up in the middle of the night in real agony, it was an erection, but this pain although very strong went after 5-10 seconds… as my dick calmed down. Checked for any blood on the padding / bed nothing. More painkillers and back to bed, same thing happened about 4 hours later.DAY 3Noticed some blood in the morning, but was only a small amount. Throughout the day I went to the loo as normal, although each time I noticed a small new patch of bleeding. In the afternoon I decided to ring the Doctor. He gave me his mobile number and he answered within 3 rings, explained the problem and he soon put me at ease saying its all normal. That night I did not want to go to bed due to the pain of the previous night, but went to bed very nervous, woke up again during the night, but this time it was just discomfort, not real agony pain like before, same happened about 3 times during the night, but it did’t hurt, just had to adjust by dick and balls and I was fine.DAY 4Which is today, all going well. Dick is bruised and swollen, the glands though is getting better, I can now touch it without it hurting. Went to uni today on the bus, no problems with the dick padded and between the legs. Walked as normal just slower than usual, my friends don’t know I have been done but did notice me walking oddly. Although I did make excuses to go on my own to the loo as I did not want them to see my sit down to take a leak!I will post back after the bandages are off looking forward to taking them off.TOP TIPS:Ware TIGHT underpants NOT loose to keep dick and balls secure and limit movement.Leave the rock hand bandaging stuff on for at least FIVE days… I am on my 4th as I said and its really feeling a lot better every day.Sorry for the long post, I am happy to answer questions you might have as I browsed this forum myself before having the opp done.

My Circumcision - London UK - November 2006
-
ok update time.
Had my first bath today... soaked for 20 mins, then took off the rock hard bandages. No pain what so ever taking it off, a little bleeding but this was old blood from night erections, it was very dark and in tiny amounts.
First impressions wow!!! neeat cut, feels so much cleaner. Also its an illusion, but looks bigger when flacid.
Got dressed in tight underpands again, well happy.
Took a leak later in the day, OMG it swelled up a great deal, it looks so fat!! porn star style lol.
Double checked with the doc, this is all normal and it will go down after a while...
In no pain, sill not walking at full speed but took 2 steps at a time up the stairs like i normally do so going great 6 days after the opp!

Great to hear you're ok. I'm 25 and need it done. However, I thought it was free on the NHS?!
Does the swelling look painful?
I will be a Sports Science student at Brunel university in Uxbridge from September 07, do you think I should try to get the circumcision done before I go? Or is it possible to play spprts without anyone noticing?
-
Hello mate, well its a small world i am also at brunel! Final year this year. The swelling looks painful, but its not. It looks a lot worse that it feels, infact i have to pain, i can pull the skin to see what a hard-on will look like, still no pain. I'd say i can do a 60% erection without pain, not wanting to take it futher yet, going to let it heal up some moreYes it is free on the NHS, but you normally have to wait a long time. I was told 18 month wait, other areas its quicker but generally a min of 6 months wait. Think its quicker still if you need it done ASAP.I did't want to wait that long, and i won't be in the same area soon, so i dediced to go private... at a Student rate its very reasonable, as i said earlier i paid £375 rather than £600. I highly recommend the place i linked to above. The Dr who works there, does these opps day in and day out so he knows what hes doing. He is a fully quailified general surgeon so can open people up and give them the full works, so he is very skilled.I would suggest doing it before you come to brunel, i can walk and prob do a very, very mall run now, but NO sports... at least for another week. On my course no one notcied, but in sports they would. Remember in the first week you walk around like John Wayne! I can get semi erections now, but i still have to avoid thinking of the sexy ladies.... so watching planet earth instead of the next the top model! I'll give you another update for everyone as of today:Night 6 / Day 7Well as i said before had the bandages off yesterday, and the cut looked great although it did swell up (normal)By the evening it was still the same, there were also little gaps inbetween the stiches... by that i mean:The 2 sections of skin have been joined together with stiches, the gaps are between the stiches where the 2 sections of skin has not joined together, i was told this is normal and just takes time. Infact my Doctor pointed out they don't use stiches on babys, because the skin there is so good at comming together.Well i decided to sleep naked last night, Doctor told me air to the wound was the best healer... i was expecting pain in the night because of errections, and the bandaging gone. Took the pain-killers and off to bed at around midnight... i woke up at... 10:20pm!!!Very pleased! First full night sleep since the Opp no pain, and looking at the cut line in the morning i litterally said wow to myself, its pritty much all joined up now, no gaps! Some of the yellow crust scabs had fell off during the night, and the swelling has gone down, although its still puffed up, not nearly as bad as yesterday.Slightly more uncomftable moving around in my tight underware today, because the stiches that poke out rub against the pants, its also a little ichy. However i had a shower today, with no pain. Dick was a little shocked to get warm water on it, but it soon got used to it and it acutally felt good!! - I would suggest a low setting on the shower though in terms of presure. As its still a little sensitive, but about 5% of what it was!Happy to answer any questions you all have, on this or over PM if your a little nevous. I Pm'ed people here which proved usefull when i was thinking of it.

HI -
Interesting story that you are telling -
Glad that you can be open about this kind of thing. You never mentioned why you had it done? Was it just a personal choice to gte it done or was there a medical reason?
Just wondering and not here to haslle anyone - Glad every one can make the choice I guess.
-
I had a viral infection, that kept comming back. NOT an STD, just an infection. it cleared, but kept comming back.
My foreskin was also very thick and long, and just got in the way. I got lucky once with an older girl and one thing lead to another, when she went down on me, she grabbed it a bit too hard and pulled down too quickly, it really hurt!! And i was embrassed, that changed the mood. Also you HAVE to clean it every day, i forgot the other day and there was a slight segma build up, and it smelt awful... not nice for me or her.
Another reason i had loads of bumps on the foreskin due to the infection... it looked like i had an STD.. but i did'nt.
I just wanted it done, its already looking better and feels cleaner too. Lots of studys shows its better for hygenic reasons..
Many reasons really why i wanted it done, glad i did.
Update time:
No pains now, can have an erection up to around 85% before it stings a little. - The skin has joined nicely all around execpt underneath which has a small gap. Another call to do the doc who said its fine. It will seal on its own, and me putting extra stiches in there won't speed it up that much. He just suggested to leave it and it will heal, told just to shower at least twice a day and keep it really clean. It should take between 7-14 days to fully heal up....
Only problem is i am gagging for a wank! this is the longest i have ever gone... 8 days so far since my last one. And its going to take another week yet at least i think... garrhh

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience with everyone, I have found it very useful. I was cut on Monday 18th December its now just turned Wednesday 1am, but i'm very nervous to goto sleep. My first time I woke up so many times from the discomfort and I got erections during the night. In the morning, I woke up to see my bandages, dressing, and underware covered in blood. I went to see my doctor later that day who has told me the blood has dried up and stopped bleeding and I will get the dressing taken off and changed tomorrow. I feel sorry for which ever nurse gets this job because it is one big bloody mess :frowning:
I hope all is well and I sleep better tonight. I might add I can't swallow capsules, so i'm not on any pain killers. -
man many people told their stories but it sounds like the 4 needles were the worst... how come other people havent mention this? i think im only gonna get my done if i can be asleep while they do it and be heavily doped on meds

Hey, that was a tough story to read. I'm really scared about the circumcision thing. I really want to get it done (have a super tight foreskin, can't retract it more then 10% of the way and I'm 18). So far I've made no progress at getting it done because, well, I'm freakin' poor. I can't afford the procedure right now and my insurance is cut off until God knows when. Anyone know of a way to get it done for free in America? And by gettin' it done I mean gettin' it done good. I don't want to half ass job. Also, is there like a chart I can look at to see what different ways they do it? I think I'd like to keep a lot of the skin, just lose enough that I can retract it. Thanks for the story though, I suppose I'll just wait another 8 months and just pay for it in cash when I save some up if I can't get my insurance straightened out.
-
In those 8 months, you could stretch it.
-
I've tried stretching man, my frelium (sp) is also way too high up so even if I made enough progress I'd have that in the way. I can get like 10% down the head and after that its fucking STUCK and when I mean stuck the skin is like hard as a rock. I don't see stretching working in my future.
-
You can always have just the frenulum cut.
-
Hey mate, glad the circumcision went well. I had mine done late august, im 18, and yours differed a bit to mine. Obviously u had local anathestic for a start where as i had general. I was looking and even booked an appointment with the place you went to in London, but then my local NHS surgeon said he could do it the the following week (which was a week before my appointment in London). The few experiences you had with blood etc over first few days i also experienced, and they stopped within the week tho. Baths are the best thing i found for it, also im sure the Doc told you to add some Salt in the ball aswell. I would agree with you on the fact alot of people make out that circumcision is a horrible operation which has many horror stories, which im sure a few people do encounter problems, but yours (and mine) went fine and hopefully by posting mate you can help others through it :).
-
I disagree with that last statement; we're just tyring to help those before they do something durastic. Surgery, in ANY form, on ANY part of your body is traumatic and carries risks. IE: If you get an infection in your toe, the doctor will try to treat it by draining, giving anti-biotics, etc. You don't just skip to amuptation right away.If we think the problem can be fixed, then its worth the effort to give out that advice to try it FIRST. If it works, hey, all good; if it dosn't, then there was no harm, and the most durastic step becomes the only option.
-
Hawker23 i think you misunderstood my statement. I meant that as he has been through it, if there are people on here who have a circ booked in and have to have it done then its always comforting to hear from people who have had it done and found it is not that bad :). I full agree that people should try stretching etc, however if that doesnt work then they will start asking who has had it done and what does it feel like...which is what i meant he can now help people with.
-
I have two friends who had what sdp mentioned, both look and work quite good. Can either get the thing completely excised or cut and reassembled in a less tight manner. One of the guys had the first, the other guy had the latter.
I still say though, if you regularly tug on your junk (20 minutes a day, say, think of it as part of your daily masturbation routine), emphasising on stretching it forward (instead of pulling it back or trying to pry it open; this so that you lengthen your frenulum), the thing will give in.
If you don't have a solution at your expense right now, it doesn't hurt to keep trying another solution.
-
Awesome story, I also had it done at a later age! 17, I'm so happy I had it done, it is truly better!
-
this thread is over 6 months old...

Thank you for sharing your experience. I may get a circumcision myself at some point not too far off and it was very helpful to hear the details. Thanks again.

Just to please some uninformed girls? Come on. I bet you could trick most by only showing it retracted.Besides, if your username has some relevance to reality -- Calif is actually one of the least cut states in the USA anyway.
