Yes, as a form of birth-control when no other contraception was used, abortion is wrong. But I don't find abortion, as a whole, to be wrong. (And I'm not talking about for medical reasons, because I wouldn't believe that anybody would object to the ending of a pregnancy if there was a great risk to the health of the mother.) If precautions are taken, birth-control used and partner selected wisely, things can still go wrong. A child born into the world without the means to take care of it or even a family to keep it is awful and sometimes giving up the child for adoption is an horrendous ordeal for the mother. Sometimes an abortion is the wisest option.
But its not a decision to take lightly as many do. And consideration of the father is an important part of it, a part that was sadly ignored in your experience Thor. But not everyone considers marriage when they enter into a sexual relationship. For many people, including myself, sex is an important stage of a relationship but not the final one.
