has anyone seen it?

Donnie Darko
-
no i havnt. what is it?
-
I have, and I love it. Its one of my favourite movies of all time. Donnie's character is brilliant in its own psychotic way. Gretchen is beautiful, her innocence is subtle and touching. Mrs.Farmer is fantastically annoying, you can't help but laugh at her. And the dark twist to Jim Cunningham's character is superb! The plot to the movie is amazing, its execution is mesmerizing. Its 1980s setting appeals personally to my love of that period, with music from Tears For Fears and Duran Duran adding to my obsession with the original soundtrack.

From Wikipedia:In reply to:In 2005, this version appeared on the popular US television show, CSI in the 2nd episode of the 6th season, "Room Service". Afterwards, it was also used in episodes of Cold Case, Smallville, Judging Amy, Third Watch and ER , as well as in several episodes in the fall 2006 season of Without a Trace. It also appears on a compilation album released by San Francisco radio station KLLC. A slightly remixed part of the song was used in the TV commercial for the 2006 Xbox 360 game Gears of War. The song has increased in popularity because of the Gears of War commercial, and at one point in late 2006 was number one on the iTunes music store. The song also appears on Broadway in 2006 as the closing number in Butley starring Nathan Lane.
