for the past year, i've been pretty depressed. sometimes, it goes away, but usually it comes right back. i always feel like i'm doing something wrong. and self concious and helpless. and i really don't know what to do. and i dont want to tell my mom cause she'll think im a psychopath or something. i just. i dunno. even if nothings happened, ill feel like im trapped in a box. and i just wish it would stop.
-
When will it end
-
Two things about mothers:A) They always know how you're feelingB) They always think you're crazyTo that end, a good open dialouge could reveal similer feelings at your, or her age. I had this talk with my mother too, and found out what hell she went through when she was younger (she didn't have anyone to talk to), it gives one hope, and perhaps options for help.As for feeling like you're doing something wrong; that sounds about right for being your age. Hell, I still have some self conciousness today!

I just. I dunno. I feel like i'm losing one of my best friends to a guy, one that treats me like crap. she always dismisses it too. 'oh well, he's a guy. he does that' and she acts like its okay and it's not. and people just. daskl;jfsda.f argh. and one of my other best friends is moving away. and i feel like besides on here, i cant talk to anyone without being judged. and my mom is usually a jerk.she never takes me seriously about anything.
-
im sorry. i know how that feals... im losing my best friend too. and the mom issue, well im sure if u act really serious to her then she will belive you. for example just talk to her about your friends situation and tell her how upset your fealing lately, even though its not lately. but dont bring up being depressed first if your mom dosnt take u seriously.
-
i try talking to her about crap. and sometimes she listens. sometimes she doesnt. i dunno. she doesnt really do anything though. except listen. it's not like she really can do anything though i guess.
-
its allways good to tell someone, because if you dont and you keep all bottled up... well you will explode! even if she dosnt help you, its still is helping by telling someone.
-
i usually just talk to my best friend if i can get a hold of her.we dont go to the same school. so sometimes its a pain. sometimes i write maybe too.

In reply to:A) They always know how you're feelingB) They always think you're crazyWhere did you get that from? Sounds like a load of bullshit to me

Wow, merry f-ing X-mas to you too.

I've seen (from my own experience) that most mothers seem to know thier kids pretty well, they can usually tell when you're down.Secondly, if you reviewed your behaviour and the things you've done; you'd seem pretty crazy to an outside observer. I'm sure you've thrown a few good tantrums in recent times that could astound a psychiatrist.

I've seen (from my own experience) that most mothers seem to know thier kids pretty well, they can usually tell when you're down. You obviously don't have very much experience. Seriously, you've seen most mothers that seem to know when their kids are down. Have you ever seen any other kind of mothers? No? Then don't generalize, thx.> Secondly, if you reviewed your behaviour and the things you've done; you'd seem pretty crazy to an outside observer. I'm sure you've thrown a few good tantrums in recent times that could astound a psychiatrist. What does this have to do with anything?

Do you have a reason why you are depressed? Family troubles, relationship etc.

How could I have more than one mother to compare it to? I know mine is pretty intuitive. You too, have only had one mother (of your own) to compare, so you're as guilty as I am for making assumptions. Some of us are dealt a shitty hand when it comes to parents. My GF's 'parents' are a good case: One never existed (dead beat dad) and the other was drunk and high all the time...she even made her children go out and buy her drugs. There are many MANY more serious issues that happened in her life, regarding her 'mother' and various boyfriends. My comment regarding behaviour and tantrums is valid. I've seen some pretty wild stuff from my sister, and I'm sure the rest of us have said and done some pretty stupid things throughout our childhood. So yes, you indeed will always look crazy some of the time.

i know exactly where you're at. when you're depressed and your mom doesnt know, its hard to tell her because you know its going to get so dramatic. Whether or not you tell her, know you can deal with this. Many people have and you will too. Know that people care. And im one of them, like everyone here at a2a. If you ever want to talk about stuff, or you just want a chat, PM me and we'll talk. And remember that your not alone in this.
