okay i'm not sure if this should be in this forum thingy but my doctor recommended that i go see a councilor and i'm kind of afraid to because i don't think i'll be able to talk about much and it will be awkward. what is it like the first time you go in? and if your still living with your parents like i am, do they get all up in your face about what you told the councilor person?

Sessions with a counsellor should be confidential. Your parents should not be present. It generally takes some time to start feeling comfortable with a counsellor.

ive had counselling before, trust me, they make you feel as comfortable as possible. they wont force you to answer anything you dont have to. just be yourself, relax, and say whats on your mind. as for the parents, every parent is different, so i dont know what to tell you there. just be calm with them, and tell them (if you want to eventually tell them what you talked about in couselling), that you will tell them what happened when the time is right. they should understand.
