Okay, i'm having abit of a problem.I'm at Uni, and the budget I currenty have isn't enough to feed my protein hunger (meaning I can no longer afford to buy £50 tubs of protein every other week).I really want to carry training on, but wat can I do if I have no regular inflow of protein?Anyone else in this situation, or anyone else have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Protein, Uh Oh

Yep, it sucks. Unless you can get a job there's little you can do. Not only can you not afford the protein, but regaining the sheer number of calories you get from those shakes in normal food isn't cheap either. My advice is to buy bulk. Eggs are cheap, rice is cheap, pasta is cheap, bread is cheap, peanut butter is cheap, etc. All these things (with the exception of bread) can last quite sometime.Otherwise you can pester your parents, or grandparents, they're usually concerned with their offspring's health, and it's not as though you're going to blow the cash on computer games or drink it away. Even if it means getting the powder as xmas or birthday presents. You could also cut down on the powder usage too, instead of having 4-5 shakes a day, just have one directly after your workout when it's most beneficial. Creatine too, if you're not already on it. One tub of that costs much less than protein and lasts a heck of a lot longer. With that, and a good diet you might not even miss the powder.Hope it helps anyway. Good luck.
