So I feel a little odd posting this, but I guess there are some things that I'd rather ask strangers. My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year now, and have been sexually active for about six months. We were both virgins when we started dating, so you can imagine that it was a bit awkard there for awhile. Anyway, everything is much better now except for one small problem. I really enjoy sex and the closeness of it, but towards the end, it gets really painful. Afterwards I get really achy, and it takes quite some time for the throbbing to go away. I am always really wet when we start, so I don't think it's a matter of lubrication.Any suggestions? I read something awhile ago that said some girls have a syndrome where they are always really pained after sex, but the only suggestion was to take advil...which I have found does not work.Any thoughts? Everything is welcome.Thanks.

A little bit of pain

Do you have pain like cramping? Or like raw skin?

I guess it's kinda a combo deal. It feels like raw skin at first, but then it just starts aching.

I actually get something similar sometimes. Towards the end it will get painful, kind of like a sore feeling. Then afterwards I will be extra sensitive and not want to do anything else that has to do with inserting anything into my vagina lol. The only thing I can think of is it has to do with we need more lube, because I get dry at the end, or we've just been going for too long. For a while we had been making the mistake of not using any lube, and even though I was wet, it made for some pretty nasty pain and soreness (we were having sex like every day too), I think we may have been going too fast/hard. That was not fun, I really think it ripped and tore my vagina etc (even the outer parts). So I think we probably had a 2-3 week break from sex. (I think there was only a couple times where we just got caught up in the moment but we went really slow). Now we go slow and are careful to use plenty of lube, just more cautious now. Although I still get sore occasionally towards the end. So I'm not sure. Maybe try using some lube. Other than that I don't have much advice..

Yeah, you should be using more lube. I think if you get cramping then we have discussed this before, and there doesn't seem to be alot to do about it. Try taking Advil BEFORE you have sex, that way it is working some when your done. But otherwise, IDK, I get the crampy thing and it lasts for a day or two sometimes.
