So im in grade 8, in an enriched program which isnt very challenging considering its supposedly a great program. I still get stressed when too much work is piling up but its still just... grueling repetitive and boring or in some cases somewhat challenging. Friends are... tbh a bunch of idiots, but they r my idiots, that counts for something. I had a broken arm when rugby was in signup stage which kinda sucked, but oh well, four more years in highschool to join the team. People that dont know me well dont take me seriously because i look like a crazy goth kid. Dont even get me started about my family, demanding, and strict but somehow lazy, i am surprisingly geeky personality wise considering im that big goth looking kid. Girls confuse the hell out of me and my dad is about as good at father-son speeches as Noah Levenstein. I have no idea what i want to do for a living after highschool but i have a couple years to figure it out. Apparently im very mature for my age, have been since age 4, when my parents split up. The only people that understand me are my friends and my brother, i have a bad habit of procrastinating and playing videogames and generally being a teenager. Ive got hereditary depression and and an eye condition, which caused a lazy eye. I just needed to get all that out of my mind. Grade 8 is a great experience its just annoying and tough sometimes. I also wanted to know what kind of career would be good and anyone feel free to share about experiences or how u felt about the beginning of highschool. I have most of my life under control and i am pretty happy about how im doing in highschool now. i just needed to share stuff that keeps re-entering my mind.

Grade 8...

Most people in Grade 8 don't know what they want to do with their life. As you get exposed to more things in school you start to get an idea of what sort of things you like and don't like, so I wouldn't worry at this stage.

Yes, I agree with Ineligible. I wouldn't stress about things too much right now. I myself am pretty unsure, and I'm quite far ahead of you in the academic standpoint. I would focus on being a teenager, because in a couple years, you might not have so much time to do that.

You probably won't even know what you want to do in grade 12, or your first year of university. People who generally do often just choose what they want to do out of the expectations of others. Not all people, but most.
