Actually I can't. If I did, how would I get there? My doctor takes about 20 minutes by car.

> Many Problems <

20 minutes by car is about an hour walk. Whats so difficult with that?Apart from that, whats stopping ya?
-
because if I left my parents would wonder:1. where im going2. why i didnt tell themthen theyd tell me i couldnt go or some crapplus i have no idea how to get there
-
You could say that you're going out with friends. Or that you're going to a study session in school or a friend's house.Or you could tell your parents that you're taking it upon yourself to go to the doctor because you feel that they aren't taking you seriously enough. And if you don't know where the doctor is, look him up in the phonebook, or any doctor in the area.
-
To the first one: oh my lord if my parents found out that I went to a doctor and lied to them I'd be grounded and lots of bad things would happen. To the second: they wouldnt believe me.
-
Quote:To the second: they wouldnt believe me.Thus proving your point that they aren't taking you seriously enough. In my personal opinion, you need to take the risk of being grounded/caught and go to the doctor. Your health is more important than being grounded.
-
and what if nothing comes of it
-
Then you get grounded for 2 weeks and can sit happily in the knowledge that you're going insane. If you go to the doctor, there is a possibility that nothing will be done to help you.If you don't go to the doctor, its a certainty.
-
well nothing has happened the past two times so im not counting on it.
-
Try finding a different doctor then.
-
Is it even possible for a 14 year old to find a new doctor, lie to their parents, walk there walk back and not be found out or get in trouble...?
-
This really boils down to what is important to you. If it's more important that you stay out of trouble than make a possibility to help yourself from constant pain, then by all means obey your parents exactly the way they want you to behave. If you want to feel better and think it's worth the risk, then find a new doctor in the phone book. Here's another idea. If your parents are not taking you seriously, go see a counselor at school. Let them know how you're feeling and that you don't feel that your parents are taking you seriously.EDIT : To answer your question, it is very possible.
-
Yes. Save money for an appointment, maybe get a lift from a friend or find a bus route that'll take you close, and be sure that you mention to the doctor that you don't want you parents to find out.He is sworn to secrecy, so if he tells your parents without your consent then you can sue him for malpractice. Or atleast get your money back!
-
We dont have buses around here. So i guess i could find a place and walk...How much $ is it
-
I'm not sure how much it would cost. When you find a doctor in the phonebook, call them and ask how much an appointment will cost.
-
> Yea and then I'd be grounded, heh.
Are you shitting me? You're going through what you're going through, and you're worried about being grounded? Given what's going on, what difference would it make if you were grounded?
> My mom wont listen to me. She'll think because I'm a kid I dont know what im talking about.
It doesn't matter if you 3 or 30. If you have a headache that won't go away, you have a big problem. Do what you have to do to let them know that you're serious, and don't worry about being grounded. Sheeeesh.
-
Give me the possible solutions of what could be happening. According to the doctor (twice) and everyone else it's "just a teen thing" or some crap. As of now it poses no threat except being extremely annoying...
-
As of now it poses no threat except of being a fucking tumor for all you know!
-
Well according to my "doctor" it's most likely not... But who knows according to him.A tumor? And what can that do... Should I seem more... more... interested? Scared? Worried?
-
You should feel more concerned that you have something wrong with you and that nobody knows, or cares, what it is!
