i have a very fast metabollism. i can literally eat anything, and i mean anything, and i will not gain weight. Im not that muscular- i guess doing toning excercises and getting lean, toned, packed arms (like travis bickle in taxi driver) would be ideal, but i dont want that, i want beefier, thicker muscle, like t shirt muscles. ive tried protein shakes, i used to drink 3 a day, and then i tried a daily protein shake supplement but that didnt work. i can no longer afford these anyway. will my metabollism change when i get older? i mean i dont want to be 25 and still stick thin. thanks.-max

You're going to wish for that fast metabolism once you get older.

I used to ask the question all the time, and you know what answer I always recieved; Eat.Eat, eat and eat.I've mastered working hard in the gym, I constantly punish myself in the gym doing good routines with super heavy weights (for me at least) till failure, where I fall short is in my diet. I really cannot be fucked preparing meal after meal, plus I get distracted often and forget meals. I'm gradually getting better, but it's annoying.Protein shakes will help yes, but you still need to eat like crazy. Use fitday.com for a bit, try to hit 4000 calories a day, with at least 200grams of protein, and with a good hard routine I promise you will stack the weight on.

I used to stay thin no matter (it appeared) what I ate, but as I got older that stopped being true, and I've had to eat less and less and I'm still heavier than I should be. This is pretty much the norm, I believe.
