My girlfriend and I had sex (with a condom) and I came. When I pulled out there was semen at the top base of my penis and down my testicles. We are not trying to get pregnant and right after used soap and water to clean her vagina. Is trying to get a day after pill still something to think about or am I just being paranoid?

Quick question

Are you sure it was semen or could it have been her cum? It seems unusual for semen to come out the sides of the condom, unless your ejaculate volume was extremely high.If you are concerned, however, the day after pill would be in order.

I assume it was mine since it came out the bottom also. Do pharmacies usually carry morning after pills ?

It came out the bottom?? Did the condom break? I'm not sure where you live. Most pharmacies in the US carry emergency contraception.

The condom didn't break. By coming out the bottom I mean the base of my penis. I live in Illinois.

If you and your girlfriend want to use the morning after pill, you have up to 72 hours for it to be effective. But she may not even need it. A woman is only fertile for 3-5 days a month. Where is she in her cycle? Taking the pill, also called Plan B, is not a perfect solution. There are risks and will be subjected to possible side effects such as nausea and vomiting.

We got Plan B from the local pharmacy just to be on the safe side.
