If there is anything worse than an Atheist, its you fucking Agnostic bastards! Ya better watch out, that fence might slip up your arse if you sit on it too long!

Afraid to Faith

I aknowlage your belief, yet wonder if this fence YOU believe in exsists because I haven't seen it myself.
-
I don't need to see the fence. I can feel in my heart that the fence exists, and when you look around the world and see such division, the only possible reason is for some fence being there, whether we can see it or not.

the Doc has the right to allow or disallow anything on his forum. This is a private forum and has no obligations to freedom of speach.I respect his decision to accept the shit with the shinola. If you only knew how non-existant the Doc is in these forums, you would be amazed. In the end this whole A2A forum was not set-up to debate topics like this. The Community forum didn't even exist a few years back.
-
Maybe the problem is with the "longstanding members", as they're called. All the new people can live without a community forum, they probably don't see past the cock, tits and wanking sections. Its the oldies that hang around creating all the debating. Maybe after a year or two, members should just move on... except Mods, of course. Maybe accounts can be set to expire after 2 years.

As time progresses, the less I like this place.

I haven't been here even half as long as you and I agree with you completly. If it wasn't for my unnatural ability to procrastinate in the most useless fashion possible, I'd have left a long time ago.

but I believe it's a chain link fence while you believe it's white picket
lets go to war

Blow me!Actually, theres a question! Does any religion have anything against fellatio?
-
I don't know, but I do know the state of Georgia has a law against it. lol

hmmm... well since spilling sead uppon the floor is a sin, I guess spitting is out of the question!

i think its only a small few who make this place 10x worse then what it has ever been.
-
Well I'm pretty sure that if we all had a vote, we'd all probably pick the same people. Some may even be inclined to pick themselves out.

I have been inconsistent, at least by some measures. I had opposed a blanket ban on religious discussion, because I think it's an important topic that affects many people. But this site is primarily here to give people information and advice and support. As sdp says, its primary purpose is not religious discussion, or indeed any community discussion. The way the religious discussions have been going has had the affect of alienating and upsetting people and has therefore got in the way of the board's primary purpose. Some people were very distressed. I felt it had got out of hand and needed control.I would hope we would all agree that anyone of any religion, or none, has the right to use the board, and use it in reasonable peace. I do not say they should be able to read the board without having any religious belief or unbelief disagreed with. But when disagreement becomes insults, some people who need the board will find it too offensive and be driven away.I want to remind us all that we old members are not more important than new members. The reverse is true - the new are more important than the old. The board isn't made for a community of old hands to chat in. The board is for people who have questions. They may only post once, and have their question answered. That does not make them lesser members - they are the people the board exists for. Therefore anything that makes the board less welcoming to new people is a bad thing, even if it enhances the community of the regulars.

Very good post Ineligible.

You know what my reply to you is.. Would it be something more thoughtful than "Go fuck yourself"? So many people, so many topics disgust you. You remind me of someone's grandmother. What exactly are you doing in a place like this? I mean, if you think you have a systematic understanding of how human behavior should work, and you can't deal with anything that deviates from it.It's funny to sometimes watch the good cop / bad cop thing with you and Ineligible. His belief is that people who post difficult questions shouldn't be jumped on and judged (for example, someone who's looking for information about pregnancy because they had sex without knowing anything about b/c). One of you would explain about how pregnancy works, and the other would come down hard and tell the poster that he's an idiot. Can anyone guess which of you would be which? Also, I was thinking of renting you a sense of humor.I don't know about the members, but the moderators certainly do have their quirks. Ineligible thinks it's absurd that I seem to hold moderators up to a standard of perfection. I don't think it's true. I think that they should show, in general, better judgment than the average person, or you might as well chose moderators by lottery. What constitutes "good judgment" is certainly subjective, though.

Yet people telling each other to "go fuck" themselves is tolerated. "Fuck you" is tolerated. Savagely criticizing a new person who posts an uncomfortable question is tolerated (although not happily by you). Those things happen all over the board. Yet the religious discussions, at least when they are restricted to specific threads are not like that. No one has to look at them.Keep in mind that one such thread, with a very provocative (insulting, actually) name was started by a moderator. This Web site has a vague relationship to what it is described as in the Terms of Service, etc. It wasn't originally meant to serve as a children's sounding board for sexual topics. If the Doc is not interested in being involved (other than to occasionally upgrade the server), then the site is whatever the admins and mods deem it to be. You have the right to do what you want with the place.

You are so tightly wrapped, you must meed a hydraulic pump to take a crap.
But we all must get along and respect each other, after all.
Starfish was right about you. You always like to frame things to fit your agenda.
My attitude towrds gays is shitty huh? OK. I think homosexuality is biologically not natural. But, if they are gay, fine by me.. Yup yup yup, that's a shitty attitude.
"little tolerance for people's "weird" sexual proclivities"
OK so eating shit, drinking piss and adults needing to suckle and nurse milk from a womans breast is weird in my book. I guess I must now condem them, eh? Please point out all the other intolerant views on _people's "weird" sexual proclivities _ that I might have. You are a cornucopia on facts and trivia. And now because of this... I'm full of shit.
You know, when you walk through a field and then you get a pesky little gnat or fly that starts swirling around in your face? You swat and shoo it away but it comes back. You can flail your arms all you like but it just keeps comming back again and again and again. You Steve are just like that little gnat. You are incessant and pester people to death. You must have been a diminutive person growing up and used intelligence as a counterbalance. Now you use it browbeat people into submission and you're good at it. Your 17,000 posts in the past 2 years are a testimonial to your pestering. You've become a intellectual bully. You have no problem calling others bullies but you, in fact, are no better. You probably don't see it but many other do. You thrive on dominating over people. Does that make you feel good or something?

Might I ask you the same question? Why doesn't your computer break for good? It was quite nice for a while. (twice actually)

What I've been noticing is that all the Christians who are, supposedly, so eager to push their beliefs on others are not the ones starting these threads. They just respond in defense of what they believe. Seems as if perhaps the Christians are the ones being persecuted...not the ones doing the persecuting.Nowadays those kinds of threads just make me tired so I ignore them.
