Doctors keep giving me meds and run arounds that are not doing it for me, i was diagnosed with a penile yeast infection, all other STDs and such have been totally ruled out, its was last november when i fist started noticing an unpleasent scent from my penis under the foreskin, and some discharge, so i went strait to the doctor, he gave me meds, i took them, no more discharge, ok, cool, smell still remains, so he gave me something to kill virus, if there was one its gone, i have no pain during urination, no pain at all, i went back to the doctors."you have a yeast infection" (sigh of relief) (not as bad as it could of been for having unprotected sex with someone i dont even know), so he gave me cream, clitoricream to get rid of yeast infection, 1-2 weeks later no imporvment, (note i did have loose dry skin in early stages of the infection, no more of that, so one improvment) anyway, he gave me a combination of dry skin cream and cortate cream, i have bumps under my foreskin and some on my head, "looks like a little bit of exzema, take this for 1-2 weeks, no improvment, still bumps, and smell, so i havent went back yet because he wants to send me to a dermatologist which is a big hastle for me...As it stands right now my symtoms are as follows:1.dryness of skin under forskin only if left exposed.2.fish like smell remains after showering 6 hrs of no smell.3.bumps underforskin and around head of penis, (typical to yeast infections)thats all folks, anyhelp would be appreciated, i am going to doctor tomorrow i believe...cant take this abstenence...I have HQ pics of my "yeast infection"

Seeking Professional Opinion...

In all honesty, it sounds like your GP's are at their wits end.If your doctor recommends a dermatologist or urologist, I'd go with it. It's apparent that they cannot help you any further. And in all honesty, you will not find the worlds top urologists or dermatologists on here. I think we have a couple medical students and nurses; otherwise we just speak from personal experience.

You're not going to get any professional opinions here, but if you have a complicated skin infection, most doctors have no idea how to handle it, except for dermatologists. You need to see a dermatologist.

The drug to get rid of yeast was not mentioned here... Myconizole... Did they give you the cream version? If not, it is available OTC.
