lol yeah apparently i JUST barely passed my first time, though thats pretty good for being in a car i had never driven before, in an area i had never really been before then, and a very uptight instructor, i whiffed it on the parallel parking but what was odd was anytime i had done it before with actual cars not cones i did perfectly fine, but i still passed ( and if your wondering why i was driving a car i hadnt before, our cars horn didnt work at the time so i wouldnt have been able to do it, and i borrowed my sisters saturn)

Driving test...

I am curious....and not trying to be conceited...But I hear alot of people say that they took it 2x or that they barely passed...Is it because it is really hard? Or because it is the "test anxiety" thing kicking in? I passed the first time with flying colors, and though I don't do my homework properly, I ace tests...so just curious..
-
well it wasnt all that hard, but yeah just anxiety on my part

In my case a mixture of nerves and incompetence. Even after I got my licence I didn't have a car for years, and then when I had one I had a lot of accidents. I haven't had an accident for many years now - it was just a matter of needing a lot of practice.
-
Well I aced my driving and my writen part of the tests perfectly, it's just I happened to go stupid for a few moments because my IQ decided to drop for some reason when I had to take the eye exam lol
-
Haha aww poor kate. I didn't fail badly the first time, and passed well within the range on my last test. Woohoo! I'm waiting for my pretty new license to arrive stamps feet
-
Frankly, I think too many people pass the darned thing!
-

sdp pointed out something very valuable, if you don't have the car for the experience it is more difficult. I was the geek who, payed attention to EVERYTHING my mom did while driving, and bored her with questions for many years before I was behind the wheel. After that it was all about having the motor skills to stay in control of what I was doing. If your relaxed and confident, you should do fairly well.
