I first became aware of my tight foreskin a few years ago when after suffering from ballinitis a couple of times, my GP advised me to retract my foreskin as much as possible when pissing. This over time stretched my foreskin so that one day, much to my surprise and happiness, I retracted, while flaccid. This must have been at least a year later by the way. After that, I made sure to keep retracting and stretching, and things were going well, until a couple of months ago I noticed a sharp pain when stretching and realised a very tiny cut had appeared around the area of my frenar band. I figured it would get better, so stopped strecthing and moved on with life. Problem is, it's a couple of months later and the same stuff is still happening. I'll leave it alone for a couple of days, it will seem to heal, then begin stretching, and then the skin splits slightly and I am in pain. It seems as though the skin is dry - like chapped lips, someone said in another topic. So, the slightest stretching makes it tear slightly (I imagine if I kept going, this would get worse). I've tried using moisturisers with mixed success, it seems to help, but then the problem comes back fairly quickly.I'm not sure what to do guys, I was doing so well! Now it seems like my foreskin is shrinking again, without the regular stretching to keep it moving. I don't want a circumcision!!

Dry/chapped foreskin

Dude, I'm cut. I wish I wasn't. I did some stretching myself to regain some of the skin back. I would suggest that if it has not gotten any better over this length of time to make an appointment with your GP and make sure everything is okay. Let them know that circumcision is NOT an option.
Sorry I can't help you anymore than that man. -
The only thing I can think up it could be is some sort of fungal infection -- if anything try to ask that from your GP when you have it looked at. And even if he recommends that you get chopped, better put some Canesten on it first, can't hurt to try.

I agree with ralesk, this could well be a fungal infection and anti-fungal cream is easy to get at a pharmacy without prescription and it can't hurt to try it for a few days first.
