-

ive been taking day and nyquil and some advil cold and sinus what do u think i should do about gaining weight. ive been sick for a few days and not eating so ive prob lost weight i need to gain weight. and you know alot of shit
-
bud, wait until your completely over this cold you've got, your not going to be feeling like eating much for the next few days anyway. But as Amanda said, try increasing your calorie intake to start with.
-
well if you want to gain weight take in more calories, eat more, peanut butter is a good one, exercise, but with less intensity
-
yea i havent felt like eating all too much and when i do its at a much slower pace than usuall. how long do u think my fever/flu/cold will last for i mean a day or two before thanksgiving my throat was acting up and i was kinda losing my voice. then i got a cold and then i was fine for a few days then i get this fever. how much longer is this gonna go on for

Depends on so many things with how long it takes people to shrug off infections. If you had gone to the Doc and got some antibiotics you probably would have shifted it by now... off the top of my head, with no medication therapy, it usually takes a someone a three or four weeks to FULLY shift a bug.
-
well im going to the docs today so hopefully he'll hook me up with something.
-
That's cool and I'm glad your going. But don't start thinking about trying to increase your calorie intake while you've got it and feeling under the weather, it will only make you feel worse, just take it easy for the next couple of weeks then once you are feeling back to normal then start. You can also ask your Doc about nutrition if you are looking to gain a little weight, he can recommend what you can and can't eat.
-
a lot of times doctors are hesistant about giving you an antibiotic for the flu, the flu bascially has to run it's course, i've been sick for the last few days, it can normally take a week for it to run it's course, like i said before it's flu season and this year is turning out to be a rough one

yea ill prob do that i just hope i get better soon ive been sick long enough. i wasnt planning on starting to gain weight now just in the future. i feel fine now but at like 5 am i had a fever of 103.8 and its steadily gone down monday was the only day i had a fever all day yesterday i took some medicine and felt fine. man medicine works miracles i mean now my temp is below average
-
yeah, sometimes "home treatment" is just as good as anything the Doc can prescribe... next time do what I did... get the Flu jab
-
yea my parents were telling me to get it but i said no cause i normally dont get sick. well look what came and bit me on my ass
