I just saw Alexander the movie with Colin Farrell, Angelina Jolie, and Anthony Hopkins. Alot of my friends say they didn't like it but I watched it anyway. And the movie was really good IMO from beginning to middle. It had it's few moments of confusion but I finally understood. But the ending made NO SENSE! Maybe I'm just stupid or something lol I honestly don't know but as soon as the battle in India took place and Alexander was shot with the arrow and carried away everything turned into like... flashbacks... it was so confusing I have no idea what happened.Has anyone seen the movie? I would appreciate it if you told me just what happened or it might drive me crazy lol.

Stoopid movie!

You haven't seen a stupid movie 'til you've seen Cloverfield....I didn't think Alexander was that bad. Although, I fell asleep during it so...

It is a documentary style film. It's a guy literally running around NYC with a handheld camera....killer on the eyes. I actually think the marketing plan of not telling what it is and NEVER telling you what it is backfired. Everyone in the theater was yelling "I want my money back!", and a few of the details were a bit farfetched.

Yeah I guess the directors and writers thought the audience would be able to figure it out without outright saying what the thing was and where it came from, but it was so vague nobody caught on. I had to look it up online after I got home.

It wasn't alot. Just a couple insignificant things that annoyed me. Nothing that really affected the outcome or anything. I just don't want to give away too much seeing as the movie just premiered today and like nobody has really seen it.

my issue with Alexander was that they portrayed the man who took over the world as being soft and full of self doubt... as ifI haven't seen Cloverfield yet but I'm pretty sure it sucks ass based on the marketing and my long experience with moviesI've seen some bad movies in the horror and sci-fi genre but that's different. Sometimes, they are better when they are bad!

Quote:Alexander' (Colin Farrell) is based on the true story of the greatest military leader in the world during the fourth century B.C. Alexander first led his army to Western Asia, and though greatly outnumbered, defeated the Persian army. Next Alexander took his army into Central Asia and then into India. Alexander the Great conquered 90% of the known world and forged an empire stretching from Greece to India by the time of his death at age 32. Douglas Young (the-movie-guy)as taken from imDB

i actually kinda liked how they advertised it, as if it was a transmission breaking in but yeah i have no plans on actually watching it

ooh but you guys never answered my question! lol what happened in the end? All I got from it was he was shot with an arrow and then it cut to a scene of him telling his soldiers they were going home. Then it cut to his friend dying and him having the doctor executed because the doctor didn't know what was wrong. Then it cut to him about to kill his wife because he thinks she poisoned him and she tells him she bears his son and then he says "Never touch me again!". Then it cuts to the most AWKWARD scene in the entire movie of him getting drunk and then passing out and then dying.... next Anthony Hopkins is talking again... what the heck lol.
