Well condoms aren't usually too expensive, but you can get free ones from health clinics.

First of all, in order to get hormonal birth control, you need a perscription. You can get that from your doctor or go visit a family planning clinic.Birth control costs can vary depending on which birth contol you use.Originally Posted By: http://plannedparenthood.orgMedicaid may cover these costs. Private health insurance coverage for birth control varies. Family planning clinics usually charge less than private health care providers. The Pill: A prescription costs about $15-$35 a month. The Patch: The patch costs between $30-$40 a month. The Ring: The ring costs between $30-$35 a month. The Shot: Further visits cost between $20 and $40. Each injection costs between $30 and $75. The total cost for each year of use ranges from $235 to $585.All this information came from Planned Parenthood: Birth Control, so the costs may differ today.Condoms, of course are cheap, and you can even get them for free at sexual health clinics (then again, you said your girlfriend is allergic to latex). Polyurethane condoms are a bit more expensive.I can tell you from personal experience about the Patch. I'm uninsured, so every month when I had to buy the patches it would cost me about $62-$65. I can tell you that that's a bitch for a broke-ass college student. I then went to Planned Parenthood and, thanks to them, I got the patches for free.

The Patches have a much higher risk of Stroke, Heart Disease, and Blood Clots then the others. To the point where there were lawsuits. I don't recomend the pill from personal experiance, because I gained about 20lbs (have since lost it), and had mood swings like mad.Nuva ring is 120x better.

Sigh, unfortunately that's true. Thankfully, nothing's happened to me so far. But I have been thinking about switching to the Ring lately. Maybe I should give it a try and see how it works for me.

what about pills do you recommend themcan i get nuva rings from planned parent hood?
-
Honestly, I can't really recommend the Pill or anything else because I'm not your girlfriend. And by that, I mean birth control differs from person to person. It's up to her to decide which is best for her.I personally stayed away from the Pill because I have a poor memory and I was scared out of my mind that I would forget to take a pill since it needs to be a daily routine. And yes, you can get the Ring at Planned Parenthood.EDIT: Grammer

Me, get mad at you for that? Nah, no way. I got a good laugh from it.
