I'm sure this has been posted before, but please bear with me as this is really wearing me down right now.
My girlfriend and I are both Christians and both heavily involved in our local churches. We've been talking about things and feel that the time is right for us to begin having sex (we're both virgins).
She is of the opinion that it is right for us to have sex because we love each other and that it's part of God's plan, but I'm still really confused by the whole issue.
On the one hand, we both really love each other and we know we're going to spend the rest of our lives together. We're committed to each other, so how can it be wrong?
On the other hand, traditional biblical teaching states that sex before marriage is wrong. I'm also worried that when we do get married I'll end up regreting not waiting.
I'm really not sure what's right and what's wrong here. Please help!
