I don't know where else this topic could possibly belong. I've purchased several different products for sunless tanning as I have inherited my fair skin from my parents and it has generally went throughout the family. I would however like to gradually become tan - I have tried doing so the natural way by being outside more often (I did wear sunscreen just so you know), but my legs don't seem to tan whatsoever. Friends and family joke that it must be the amount of hair I have on them (which is considerable >

No No dont use self tan, that stuff is rubbish, i used it once, as like yourself im fair skinned...actually im as white as white can be...family call me 'English Rose' haha!
i allways used to put fake tan on, id spend a ton of money on it, trying new ones out, and all, but they made my skin smell like curry powder... maybe it was just me but a few friends had the same experience, i decided to stop and stay natural, as persoanllly i really like the look of pale people, it drives me nutts when they try and tan, ... but i still love the look of tanned people too!
my mates went and got a proffesional tan when i decided to stay natural, and they came out looking like they had been tangoed!
i say stay normal!
BUUUUUT the best fake tan i tried, was a wash on wash off 24 hours one by Rimmel, it smelled nice too, and if your put it on too much you could wash off and start again!... also it actually goes on brown, then you rub it in so you can see what you are doing, and slowly it turns to a nic golden glow colour... best one i used! the others a just like creams and you dont know how orange or whatever you are going to go lol...and they made my skin smell funny lol
good luck though! -
Haha yeah.. all the ones that I've used except this diluted one smell sooo wierd. My best friend started sniffing me one day and said "fake tan?" I felt so embarrassed ><
