I'm a bisexual male, and not too long ago i had sex with a male. i received oral sex, and we had anal sex (i was on bottom). About 4-5 days afterwards, i noticed a fairly large sized bump on the top side of the head of my penis (facing me). It's about a 1/4" in diameter. It's just one, it doesn't itch, isn't painful, and doesn't really seem to look like anything like warts or herpes. It looks more like a large pimple or mosquito bite (both of which are very unlikely in that spot i would assume). It doesn't have any open sore or white top, it's just red. Is this something I should be concerned about? would it be out of the line to post a picture of it? I know you'll probably just say see a doctor but i figured i'd ask anyway. thanks!

Single red bump on head of penis

You can post a pic if you crop it appropriately, but 1/4" sore is pretty big. Like you said, a doctors appt. would be best at this point.

actually, my husband has a mosquito bite on his penis right now (snickers) but, pimples are likely down there. I've gotten them on my vulva once or twice, and occasionally my fella gets them down there.

pimples are likely down there More so on the shaft rather than on the head, though.

Thanks for the help..one more question though, is it possible to get an std from receiving anal, and have the symptoms show up on my penis? From everything I was reading most of the std's that involve a bump or anything is from direct skin-to-skin contact. All that happened was I received anal and oral. If my understanding is correct, if I have a bump like this on my penis, and it is some kind of std, that means that it must have been from some contact my penis had with him. the only contact my penis had with him was through oral. And i've received oral from him many times in the past, it seems unlikely that i just lucked out that many times and didn't catch anything and this time i did. Are my assumptions correct or no?

Gererally if there's a specific sore, it is at the point of infection. Many STDs then spread more widely, but they don't produce specific sores elsewhere, at least not in a short time-frame.It is possible to acquire STDs from oral, though this is the least common way of getting them.

Ok so I have ONE more question! ha. what exactly is the timeline of a herpes outbreak, like how long before the red spot is seen before it develops into a blister, and then breaks and scabs over, and then heals? Also, is it possible that this red bump I have will turn into other bumps? everything i've red says that herpes will show itself as a couple of smaller bumps together, not just one larger bump. however, is it possible that these smaller bumps will appear on top of this larger bump in a couple days or something? or is that uncharacteristic of herpes? i've had this bump for about 2.5 days now. thanks much!
