Doctor?

The owner of this website is a doctor. On the main page there is a link called Ask the Doctor. I couldn't tell you if people use it or not and there is a $35 dollar fee. I have seen other website forums where doctors respond to questions for free, but I couldn't tell you what sites they are. i just randomly ran across them.

Yeah? That's excellent!Okay here's the problem...My right hand has a pain in it like alot of needle's are in there. Then my arm and hand just goes numb(dead) and burns like fire and feels like it's gonna burst. It happens in the early hours of the morning approx. AM - AM.I had a neck operation, C4 and C5 neck vertebra crumbled. Piece of my hipbone removed and a plate is put in my neck. This happened approx. 10 years ago. Is there a connection between the pain in my hand and my neck?

I have a ruptured disk at c6-c7..You pain has a good possibility that it is related to some issue in your neck or possibly somthing else like your shoulder as Helms mentioned. My rupture is on my right side. If I sleep on my left side, I'm guaranteed that my right arm will start to go numb becasue of pressure on that right nerve. So this means that I can only sleep on my back or right side. You might need to reevaluate how you are sleeping. You're also really need to have the pain evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon or a neurologist and have a MRI done to see what's going on in your neck (if it is your neck). When a fusion is done between 2 vertebrae, additional pressure is place on the disks above and below the fusion. You could have new disk issues. They have come up with new technology which eliminates fusion and replaces the damaged disk with one made of titanium. This allows movement and is better for "younger", active people. Fusions done on younger people will eventually create problem down the road. Older people... well, they aren't going to live long enough to have the problem manifest themselves. Of course, you said you had crushed vertebrae,so i really don't know your situation, but I highly recommend seeing a doctor about it.

My recommendation is to not let a chiropracter anywhere near your neck.

I had to stop going because my insurance co-pay for a specialist is $40, and that can really start to get expensive when he wants to see you twice a week But I have heard people who said that their pain got worse after going to the Chiropractor, and than stopping treatment. For me it hasn't got worse, it's just back to how it normally felt before I started going.

Yeah it can feel good but if you have disk damage, twisting and popping the neck can cause serious damage. This guy has had fusion, broken vertebrae and plates in his neck...I'd be damned if any quack were to twist my neck. When I had my rupture, I was in sever pain so I thought about trying a chiropracter. He twisted the shit out of my neck and then after pushing and prodding and pushing on my arms, he diagnosed that the pain was caused by my Gall Bladder and prescribed some chinese herbal pills... This guy was a serious quack. I'm sure chiropracters can help in many situations, but you need to know what the situation is before twisting goes on. With his neck I think it's too risky.
