Hi! Okay, so I got an interview at Safeway 9am Sunday, I was wondering if it would be appropriate to bring my resume, or even impressive. Or if it'd be a bit much. It's only a checker position, but since I'm an "Irresponsible kid, who doesn't appreciate what is bought for me" I really need the job to pay for my new "housing" expense. Thanks Java. Anyway, can anyone help?

Bring resume to an interview?
-
Oh this is so cheating -_-
-
Yeah go ahead and take it. Many people go to interviews holding a portfolio. Of course that's slightly different than this instance, I'd say it can't hurt. Many times how you apply may not allow for in detailed discussion on the jobs you've had previously. Take it, as back up. If they want to know more about jobs you've done in the past - bam! whip it out and they'll have it.

She's never had a job in the past.
-
Lol oh. Well. Um, what's on the resume?
-
School achievments back from jerusalem, school information... objective statment, saying what a great person I am lol, thingsl ike that. I really want to impress them, so I thought this might help
-
Take it anyway
-
Yes, definitely.

For this job, it's appropriate. But I will advise you not to do it for your career job. You're supposed to send your resume in before you get an interview. Plus, employers don't want to have to keep up with extra paper work. At least that's what they told us when I was in school

Is this no1sexpotinusa? Did ya CHANGE your name? And Why? is my final question. He he

Always take a resume to a job interview, no matter what the job. Even if you have already submitted one, you still need to bring a few copies just in case. Depending on the job, you may be interviewed by a few people. I made the mistake of not bringing any copies of mine to my interview for my first professional job. The first person who interviewed me had a copy of it, but the second person who came in to interview me asked me for a copy and I didn't have one. They then had to go pull up and print a copy of mine, which wasted valuable time, and didn't really set a good impression.

Yes, it's me, THE number ONE sexpot in this shitty country. Changed my name because, well, I really don't know. I guess I got tired of it. LOL.
-
almost everytime i get interviewed they have asked me if i brought a copy of my resume. Bring it

She's on her way out, Wish her luck! :P

I don't know what SafeWay is, but for my Subway job I did not bring a resume. Nor have I ever seen anyone bring in a resume for a Subway job, but it's probably just because it's considered a shitty job.
-
Carrs, Vons, and Safeway. Safeway owns all three, it's just a grocery store.
-
Never heard of all three of them, must be a local thing or something.
But I personally wouldn't bring a resume to a grocery store... but that just may be because I would have a shitty resume, but besides that, it would seem a little too much for a grocery store job to me, but that's just me.
Can't hurt, either way.

She already did, and already got her job.And Safeway is the #2 grocery company in the whole country... that's not local.

She already did, and already got her job.Cool> And Safeway is the #2 grocery company in the whole country... that's not local.Wikipedia says it's spread across western and central US and Canada. I'm on the east-coast, which is why I've never heard of it.

I have never heard of those stores either. This site ranks it as #4: http://subscribers.supermarketnews.com/r...search/sns_top/Either way, glad she got the job.
